"Hard to get a person to answer the phone here recently. Overall service is great."
"My son is currently in the mental health program at this facility. He has a caseworker who does not return any of my phone calls. She does not know the status of my son or if he’s on his mental health medications I’ve tried on several different occasions to reach out to her to help in assisting with my son’s needs. To no avail she can not provide me with an updated status on my son’s condition. Yesterday I got a call from the facility thinking that his case manager was calling to provide me with some updated information. The case worker called and asked for Ms. Harris and I have no idea who Ms. Harris is. When I told the case manager who I was she said “I still don’t have any information yet” this happens every week for this last 8 months. I call her and her boss every week at least twice a week for updates information. Right now, I feel hopeless and to add insult to injury I don’t reside in that state. Signed, An advocate for my son’s mental health."
"Great clinic!! Accepts Medicaid, beautiful new building with secure parking. Great counselors, nurses, and director. If you're interested in Methadone Maintenance program, I highly recommend."
"Worst experience of my life with their methadone program. Would rate 0 stars if possible. Came to St Louis from out of town to attend school for 9 weeks. Can only guest dose a max of 30 days, so I was told to become a patient at a clinic to keep dosing past the 30 days. Simply, I will have to do a transfer to avoid any missed doses between my 30th day, and my transfer appointment. I won't even mention how many times I have called and how many different people I have spoken to or left messages for to try and get an appointment set up. Took me over a week to even get someone to answer the phone. A big hassle, but I finally got in touch with Miss Amanda from intake and she was amazing. I got an appointment to do a clinic transfer. Got all the paperwork faxed, went in person to sign paperwork and verify everything was ready. The day of the appointment, the DR. isn't even scheduled that day and they say I won't be getting dosed that day either. I guess thats ok. But why even schedule an intake on a day that the Dr isnt there? Ok whatever mistakes happen. Next thing, they lost ALL my paperwork. Every single thing I had faxed over/signed was no longer findable. Some serious incompetence there and now my paperwork is off floating in an unknown location. Nice. They then tell me they cant help me and good luck. Pretty much F off. The nursing staff did not know what any of the rules or procedures regarding methadone as every person gave me different answers every time I tried to seek assistance. My counselor from my home clinic even called to try to try and explain my situation but because I would only be a patient ~20 days, the head nurse said it would be too much work. What other option did I have? I sat for HOURS trying to coordinate faxing new paperwork and trying to get everything set up AGAIN since the clinic failed to do anything in that manner for me. The other lady at the intake desk gave me attitude and grief due to ME ASKING FOR HELP. Trying to solve a situation not a single person at this location was concerned about. Miss Amanda was great and helpful. Everyone else was either giving me attitude when I was asking for help because it was "too much work" or simply saying they cant help me and best of luck. The program manager tells me because I'm still an active patient at another clinic that they wont be able to help me. I understand I can't be a patient at another clinic, but why would I discharge myself without the new clinic having all the proper paperwork? Or how could I transfer to a new clinic without having any of the paperwork from my previous clinic? I tell him my clinic is ready to discharge me because of my status of being a "5 day no-call no-show" from the gap from my 30th guest dose day, to the earliest appointment i could get at this location. I was still getting guest doses from another clinic so I wasn't aware I was being considered a no-call no-show. (at this point, I had already missed 2 doses waiting for this appointment) Anyways, thats a different story. So, he (program manager) tells me he can't help me and directs me to another clinic that could the next day. Wait, how could they help me in the same manner if i'm "still an active patient?" Seems like he was just trying to get rid of me. I could've been helped. This problem could've been solved. My home clinic was willing to help assist in the process with my paperwork too, but this clinic was INCOMPETENT and UNWILLING. All because of it being too much work. So they send me away knowing the % of relapses/ ODs/ suicides of people who can't get help. This place could've helped me. I could go on about everything that went wrong and nothing that went right, but if you're still reading and looking for methadone to help deal with addiction, stay AS FAR AWAY from Comprehensive Behavioral Health Center of St. Clair County as possible, because as far as they were concerned, they didn't care that they were sending me off to possibly relapse/OD/kill myself. I'm not sure how they consider themselves an ethical medical institution. It's disgusting."
"This place offers all kinds of different programs, I can only review the MAT program. They accept all IL insurance, including Medicaid. It is definitely a little more strict and rigid than the for-profit MAT clinics. It works for me though because I do better with a little structure in my life. I would recommend you give them a call if you or someone you love needs a helping hand."
