Reviews of Mercy Clinic OB/Gyn - Butler Hill
"This is my primary care physician. I can never get in when I’m sick. I call to ask the doctor a question. He never calls me back. Someone else calls me back, but it takes hours. If you’re looking for a doctor look somewhere else."
"The staff and doctors are very nice but they never refill my prescriptions when they say they are going to. I have to jump through hoops to get any medication. Every time I pull up to my pharmacy I am fully expecting them to have not refilled my prescription and most of the time I’m right. Really obnoxious when it’s important medication."
"Lady who is supposed to handled birth control isn’t doing her job. After my appointment she never contacted me about my benefits. I’ve called 3 times and even complained about her not calling me back. It’s been over 3 weeks. I’m going somewhere else for birth control. Other than that the dr I saw was 5 stars."
"I am uninsured and was given a price of $126 for a first time office visit. I paid this amount at the time of the appointment. I thought nothing of it until I recieved an additional $20 bill for this same visit. I called the billing company and was told the bill is correct and the office staff doesn't seem to be bothered. What kind of people lie to patients in need of care to get 20 more dollars out of them? A doctor's office should be a safe place to get care that is needed with upmost honesty and respect. Why trust people who need to lie and manipulate sick/unisured patients to get more money? Says a lot."
"I had not been to a doctor in several years and came here to establish primary care with Dr. Mazzaferro. I had concerns I have been experiencing, hoping to get some answers as to why, including getting routine blood work done as I never have before. He related all of my symptoms to psychiatric issues and suggested I start taking medication without ordering any blood work. When I asked about blood work, he stressed the fact that it was not necessary and instead recommended I call his colleague nutritionist colleague that costs $60-100 per phone call and psychiatrists that were not in network with my insurance instead of doing his job. Getting ahold of anyone in the office during business hours is extremely difficult. Staff takes sometimes days to return calls and messages. Went to another doctor to get another opinion and they showed deep concern and ordered a ton of testing. Since it was not ordered by the doctor during my physical, I now have hundreds of dollars of out of pocket costs for lab work as it is no longer preventative care. After doing all of this, he refused to order the bloodwork for my physical and discontinued my care. They will discontinue your care for just about anything. They take no responsibility for their mistakes. Nor do they seem to care about your concerns. It was all about his opinion and not much room for discussion about how to move forward with care. I would recommend going to any other Mercy provider. I am not sure if it is the fact that this clinic is fairly new or because this doctor has not been in practice for long, but they have much to learn about customer service and patient care especially in terms of emergencies. I am so excited to start with my new doctor who is actually getting to the root of what is going on with my health."
