Dana's Studio of Dance
About the Business
Dana's Studio of Dance is located at 465 West Southlake Boulevard in Southlake, Texas, United States. Voted "The Best Dance Studio In Southlake" by the Southlake Journal, we offer recreational classes in all types of dance for dancers of all levels. Our classes are taught by working professionals who focus on nurturing your child's imagination while teaching correct dance technique. We offer more classes for boys than any other studio in the area, including hip hop, popping, breakdancing, and traditional dance styles. Our competitive dance program is available for ages 5-18, with multiple levels to help dancers progress in their technique and style. We also offer a drill team preparation program for local school drill teams.
At Dana's Studio of Dance, we believe in providing leadership skills through dance, including discipline, self-esteem, teamwork, and creativity. Our instructors are passionate about dance and understand that each student is unique. We offer one free trial class for new students to experience our studio before registering. Our floating dance floors are designed to protect dancers from injury.
Our dance season runs from August to June, with a summer session in June and July. Registration can be done online or in person, and we encourage early registration as classes fill up quickly. While it is not mandatory to complete the entire season, consistency is key to a dancer's progress. We have a dress code and a store on-site for all your dancewear needs. Parents are invited to observe classes during Parent Observation Weeks.
Tuition is calculated with holidays and bad weather days in mind, and there are no adjustments for missed classes. Costume and recital fees are separate and non-refundable once paid. We encourage students to stay with their class through recital, but exchanges may be possible early in the season. Our goal is to provide a positive and nurturing environment for dancers to grow and excel in their passion for dance.

"We LOVE Dana's so much! My daughter started dancing when she was 2.5 years old. Dana's studio would send a dance instructor to her daycare once a week where they taught her Jazz, Ballet, Tap, and Hip Hop. I love that in the spring and fall, they have a parents day so we can come and watch class. I love that the instructors, play games to teach dance and make it so much fun for the kids. Dana's Dance makes learning dance and dancing so much fun, that my soon to be 7 year old, now attends 4 classes a week, that is 2 hours of dancing a week. Every year I ask her what she would like to do, and its always dance. She loves dancing so much, she was begging at age 6 to be in the North Texas Ballet's Nutcracker, but in talking to other parents, it is a 12 hour day of dress rehearsal and 2 performances for the final day, and I just thought that was way to much for a 5 year old...but she continued to bed last year, at the age of 6, so I let her try it, hoping I would not ruin her love as dance, because for 16 weeks leading up the 12 hour day, the production day, she would dance her regular classes for 2 hours on Saturday, then another hour on Sunday! But she loved every moment of it. After 12 hours and her final performance at 7 pm at night, I asked what her thoughts her. All she could do was rave how much fun she had and she couldn't wait to do it again next year, and all the roles in the coming years that she wants to dance. In regards to the office stay and instructors, each of them are phenomenal and so kind. It's always been the same folks, for the 5+ yearrs we have attended. We recently missed almost 2 months of dance classes, due to me studying for a big exam and taking an exam prep class during her dance class time. The office staff checked in on us to make sure we were okay, as well as, her instructor even made her a video so she could practice at home. The amount of time, heart and soul that Dana and her staff put into this dance studio, put into the production of the nutcracker each year, and invest in my daughter and nourishing her love of dance is amazing. Thank you all for caring so much and instilling such a love a dance in my daughter."
"My little girl has been dancing at Dana's Studio of Dance for three years and we could not ask for a better place. The office staff and dance teachers are all amazing. The studio is beautiful and easy to watch your little ones. My daughter is 5 now and she doesn't even want to talk about going to another place to dance. The recital is also amazing for kiddos and the adults. Wow! Just wow!! Angie & Lily"
"Moving from Maine to Texas was difficult enough, especially after leaving the dance school that my daughter had grown to love over the beginning stages of her dance career. But after many reviews and talking to locals, we found Dana's. It has proved to be a great decision. My daughter loves going. The teachers are wonderful and the place is very nice and clean always. Couldn't ask for a better place for my daughter to learn to dance!"
"We love Dana's! My daughter has found a passion for dance at this studio and her growth has been amazing! We have always had a fantastic experience with the teachers as well. The hip hop here with Lisa is far better than any other studio we have attended and my younger daughter has overcome so much of her shyness due to the love of these sweet teachers. So glad we found this place."
"My daughter absolutely loves Dana's! Our old studio closed so we switched to Dana's in Southlake. She took all rec classes her first year and loved them all. All of her teachers were prompt, courteous and professional. The recital was very organized and much less chaotic than other studio's we've attended. Her experiences here have increased her confidence in dance and everyday life. Overall I feel like all dancers are important here whether you are a company dancer, a 14 year old brushing up for drill team tryouts, or a 2 year old just getting started!"
