"Extremely unprofessional. My primary care doctor left the practice in October. They sent out a letter over the summer notifying patients- this was the only way patients were notified. I was in the process of moving over the summer, and often dealt with stolen mail so I did not receive this letter. When trying to refill important psych medications and thyroid medications at the beginning of November, I was told this could not be filled since my doctor left in October. I have tried calling several times now to see if another doctor or NP could do a temporary refill for these prescriptions. They told me this was not an option and told me to try getting them filled through an Urgent Care/Express Clinic. I was told misinformation by SSM Shackelford because Urgent Care reached out after I scheduled my appointment to let me know they cannot refill anti-depressants. It had also been over a week being off my thyroid medication so they were not able to fill that either. I called SSM Shackelford again to share what I was told from Urgent Care, and asked if there was anyway these prescriptions could be filled until my new primary care doctor appointment in January, and that I am really struggling without these medications. I was not only told no, but the person I spoke with was actually putting the blame onto me for not receiving the letter, and not setting up the psych referral from my previous doctor sooner (because then a psych doctor could've refilled the prescription for me now). All because I missed the ONE letter notifying patients. I now am going unmedicated for depression and hypothyroidism. This is an example of extreme unprofessionalism and a lack of concern for patients. DO NOT go to this SSM Medical Group."

"The staff here is questionable at best. I checked in a little late for a shot (that I have previously been told is never an issue) and was severely scolded by the floating check in lady. I proceeded to wait for almost an hour and nobody bothered to call me back. Judy was nice enough to alert the nurse that she had forgotten about me and let me know they would call me back. After almost another 10 minutes I left. If you've been alerted that you forgot a patient, maybe work to get them in?"

"Visited for a physical and was clear up front that the appointment needed to be coded as such in order for it to be treated as preventative care and covered by insurance. SSM miscoded the medical claim, costing me hundreds of dollars and leading to months of endless tedious phone calls as I dealt with SSM, Labcorp, and my insurance. SSM lied multiple times about the steps they were taking to address their mistake, provided timelines that they failed to meet, engaged a collection agency despite admitting that I should not be billed, and wasting dozens of hours of my time."

"I am new to the area, and wanted to find a OBGYN that was within decent drive time of my home, so I have been attending this office for the last few months. At my first appointment I was taken to an exam room and told to prepare for a pap smear although I was there for prenatal care. This apparently upset the nurse because she was misinformed, she immediately caught an attitude and carried on this way throughout the appointment. Despite her attitude and unprofessionalism, I really appreciated the way I was cared for by my doctor. So, I continued to see my new doctor. Unfortunately, due to my doctors own maternity leave I was only able to see her one other visit, before she had her leave. Visits 2 and 3 went fairly well despite continued issues (such as attitude and scheduling) from my doctor's nurse. However, I just completed visit four and at this point I'm totally disgusted with this office. I was scolded and reprimanded by the doctor for not remembering the lab instructions between visits (5 weeks apart). I am being bounced around from doctor to doctor (as well as locations) while my doctor is on leave and treated with very little dignity and respect. I wish I had more time and recommendation on a better clinic and OBGYN. I feel stuck with these people because I am so close to my due date and would rather have my doctor (who at least has knowledge of my existing issues and care plans). I WOULDN'T SUGGEST THIS OFFICE TO ANY FAMILY, FRIEND, OR FOE!!!!"

"I received my infusion services here and I must say Nurse Lisa and the pharmacists are amazing. Lisa was so sweet, welcoming, professional, patient, and always made sure I was comfortable. I couldn’t ask for a better nurse to administer my iron infusions. Wish I could give 10 stars. Will definitely return if services are needed."
