"Why is this place so filthy? Seriously, there is disgusting mold growing on the walls and ceilings. I don't think the light fixtures have been dusted since desegregation gave birth to the hospital this clinic was born from (Homer G. Phillips). It is an underfunded clinic slowly and painfully dying on life support. This clinic needs a clinic. God bless some of the kindhearted medical professionals who are trying to service this disadvantaged & neglected community. The other staff are inept of professionalism, any sense of respect or decency toward the patients who frequent this facility. Many of the staff are on personal calls during the visits (in front of clients). Several hipaa laws are broken just with registration alone. There is no privacy whatsoever during registration. It was redundant for me because even after using the app to check in (verifying my information was correct). I was told I had to do it all again when I arrived in person (stating and spelling my name d.o.b., address, phone number, insurance provider ) aloud around other staff and patients surround the cubicle I was seated in. On my way out of this place I tripped and fell over the uneven sidewalk at the entrance (picture below). I bruised both of my hands and no one seemed to truly care except Dr. Moody and her assistant. The parking lot is just as bad. There is a need for funding and better staffing here at CareSTL. Unfortunately, it doesn't live up to its name. Update: The crack in the sidewalk and uneven paving is still there to this minute."
"Tl;dr: nice doctor/highly unprofessional organization. Just don't go here if you have ANY other options. The positives: My doctor did not rush my appointment after I brought many concerns I wanted to discuss; my doctor was kind. The negatives: Though kind, my doctor has been unhelpful and has not discussed or addressed just about any of my initial and more pressing concerns, just sent me for lab work with no treatment plans in place; my appointment was changed to a different location and no one informed me; you cannot get through to talk to your Dr. Or anyone. You leave voicemails and hope they call you back (except they don't); I've waited over 3 weeks for lab results and I still don't have them; the entire staff in this company from top to bottom is disorganized and highly unprofessional, with no communication or accountability whatsoever, and some outright rude employees; the offices and facilities are vastly outdated and uncomfortable; long wait times in the exam "rooms"; the "room" is a tiny cutout in a main hallway with a sliding accordion door with no sound isolation so everyone in the vicinity hears your appointment. I will not be stepping foot into this office again, and have scheduled an appointment with a different provider at a different and significantly more professional facility."
"Rude, unorganized, and have no interest in their clinic, patients nor staff. Employees are extremely rude and incompetent. They act as if they know nothing and have no interest in trying to figure anything out. It's sad and unfortunate that the majority of state run facilities have unsatisfactory ratings and awful customer service. I hate that for our people because the majority of the staff is African American as well as those they are hired to serve. It's absolutely terrible. They are overworked and under paid which contributes a great deal to the lack of work ethic they possess which in turn is directed at the patients."
"The entire establishment is Ghetto and hood it should be shut down due to safety hazards. How do you have a toy drive for the community and all the employees get to the gifts before the actually patients do ??? The call center is very rude and have no organization or proper phone etiquette. . The CEO only looks out for herself not willing to help an employee out during bereavement. The security don't secure nothing but only walk around on their phones all day and talk to the clients coming in like stray dogs."
"I’ve been coming to Homer G. since i was a kid. All three of my children see the pediatrics side of the clinic and the newest NP they have is GREAT! Jenny is very knowledgeable and she has a great relationship with the children as well as the parents. Dana, the intake nurse is the BEST! She is always available, always tries her best to schedule children accordingly, and usually can always accommodate last minute changes to appointments or emergency appointments. The staff is pretty helpful too. Ms Renee, the site coordinator is awesome too. She was able to fix me up with last minute appointment in adult medicine before. Also Ms. Robinson has been there forever! She knows me from when i was a little girl and it’s good to see someone around who watched me grow up and that i know cares about me and my children’s health."
