"I have worked out on my own for most of my adult life, however, when we moved to South TX, I felt like I needed a change so decided to check out Rip Current upon the recommendation of a friend. It was just the boost I needed! Art is an excellent coach! He knows how to motivate and keep us on task and also pays attention to make sure our form is correct. He suggests alternative moves if you have pain or injuries. Even though he is a former Marine Drill Sargent, he is friendly and fun -not stern, like I expected, but still serious about helping us get to our full potential. I can tell my stamina and muscle tone has increased since joining. He has a variety of workouts and I am never bored -they are super fun and challenging. He just added ropes for climbing - made me feel like a kid again! The camaraderie among my fellow members is great too! Art is very helpful with information on health and nutrition as well. I highly recommend Art and Rip Current Athletics!"
"Want a good work out - go here! Want a clean gym - go here! Coach Art does an excellent job at explaining each exercise thoroughly and spots and helps each member through the class. Exercises can be modified to each individual’s ability without having to leave the group. This gym also counts with a variety and enough equipment for all. Members are all polite and friendly, this gym definitely has the feel good vibes as well."
