"I would like to acknowledge Dr. Padgett at the Genesis Health Group, Aledo. I utilized the "walk-in" clinic to address some issues my 4 year old son was experiencing. Due to several providers on vacation this week, I was unable to make a doctor's appt, so the front desk person advised, from a phone call the previous day, to use the walk in clinic to address my issues. So, I went there today with my son. I explained the symptoms and was reminded that this is an urgent care appt and that only specifics could be address today, which I understood, but at the same time I also knew that present and historical symptoms were becoming chronic and felt there is a connection. While in the exam room with Dr. Padgett, I again explained the symptoms, and again was reminded of the time frame. I was frustrated, but not any one thing and not the Dr., just the "system" as a whole. He was able to sense or see my frustration and I could tell he took the extra few seconds to ensure that I knew he was addressing what he could today, any other symptoms I expressed, whether current of past, he assisted me with education and precision to give me an understanding, or maybe more like validation, that I know that all the symptoms presented were all coming from a similar source. **This extra step he took did not garner any significant amount of time, BUT it demonstrated to me a caring, respectful person, who did what he could, given the current situation, to assist me. And that my friends is what I appreciate!!! I work in the mental health system and have for years, and regardless of the systemic issues that happen out of our control, Dr. Padgett showed you can still do your job, be present and efficient, all with a smile, a great attitude and great interpersonal skills!!!
