Valley Radiation Oncology

"Valley Regional Cancer Center is a very nice, updated facility filled with wonderful & caring professionals. Having been treated for Breast Cancer primarily in Chicago I was a bit skeptical and unsure about completing my radiation treatments in the Illinois Valley Area. My Dr. reassured me and noted that daily radiation treatments for a length of time would be overwhelming to complete so far from where I live. Northwestern Hospital and Blue Cross were able to help me in finding a reputable and accredited facility much closer to home. I was really surprised to find that Valley Regional (At the top of the list) was located in Peru! I met with Dr. Oyedijo within a few weeks and was extremely happy I did. Dr. O is knowledgeable and straightforward. He will answer any questions you have until you have a complete understanding of the process you are facing. He certainly cares about his patients. The staff at Valley Regional is excellent as well. Everyone from the Ladies at the Front, to the nurses and the Radiation Techs, as well as anyone else I came in contact with. As you can imagine, having kind and helpful people surrounding you for every treatment is an incredible benefit. I have to say that I truly miss them! (I know...crazy, but true!) They all made what I was going through less stressful and although they are a sweet and fun group, they are every bit professional and competent as well. Anyone needing treatment shouldn't hesitate to have them at Regional Valley. I feel very fortunate to have been directed to them for radiation."
