"OSF healthcare in Princeton is terrifying. The ER released my loved one while they were having a stroke because they didn’t have an MRI tech available that day. She returned just over 24 hours later with even worse symptoms that resulted in 2 strokes, a MONTH long hospital stay, and lifelong cognitive loss. The negligence was unbearable and should NOT be tolerated. Not only did the ER release and dismiss stroke like symptoms, but when she went back in and got admitted, it took an additional 3 days for OSF to conduct an MRI. That delayed MRI found 1 of the 2 strokes she had while in their care. It took another full week at OSF Peoria to get a MRI with contrast to identify the second stroke. And not once was she provided a TPA. Time is brain! The OSF healthcare system failed my loved one resulting in LIFELONG cognitive loss. This hospital is not equipped with proper staffing and does not have MRI at night or even consistently throughout the days. The Doctors have terrible bedside manner and care is not fluid between caregivers. When my loved one did eventually get testing done, OSF failed to care for her during the process allowing her blood pressure to spike into the 200’s causing discomfort, vomiting and so much more. For stroke or emergency, choose a different hospital. This hospital is only useful for chopper ride transfers or minor scrapes and bruises. It needs major improvement to stay in operation."
"My mom is 95 years old and her caregivers took her to ER yesterday because they found her on the floor and her left side was in bad shape and she couldn’t use her arm. I told them to take her to ER and they did. They took a picture of her when she got there because her face was drooping and she couldn’t use her left arm. I talked to a real nice nurse there named Jesse and I told her it sounded like my mom had a stroke and she thought so also. A doctor Gaskill came in and was very rude and said just because I’m POA I can’t make my mom go for a MRI. The caregivers had to convince my mom to go for the MRI because she had to go up to Rockford. They were very upset with his behavior and he was reprimanding the nurse in front of them for no apparent reason. I don’t know what kind of services this is! But I think it really stinks! My mom had Covid earlier this year and they sent her home with that also. My mom had a stroke and I have a picture to prove it. That Dr should be fired! No, I do not recommend this hospital to anyone."
"This is a lovely small town hospital. You don't usually have to wait very long to be takin care of in any of the departments. The people here are super nice. I had my 4 grandchildren and a lady named Laura actually called her daughter at home and had her bring up toys for my kids to play with! There's a water dispenser in the emergency waiting room. The chairs are nice and comfortable. There's a table if you need to write on it or set the kids to play. Bathrooms are near. Had several experiences here and none of them bad."
"I had to go to the ER last night. I have to say , this hospital has come a long ways. It was the best visit I have ever had. I felt blessed. The doc R. Kalsi, MD is the bomb, He even remembered me breaking my leg. He is awesome. High five doc."
"Great medical treatment whenever I must go. But, the administrative staff are terrible. Can’t bill the appropriate insurance after making sure they bill the appropriate insurance. Now I have to spend multiple hours trying to have it reviled to the appropriate insurer. After talking with the “billing department” they have to talk to another department to change the billing and resubmit to the appropriate insurance provider first. I will hear back in several days…. They didn’t even scan in the primary insurance ID when I talked with the billing department. Try to call and talk to someone about process and procedures and I get no one. I leave a voicemail and they forward it back to the billing department. There is ZERO quality control and clearly no management involved to ensuring this doesn’t happen to individuals. On top of the quality administrate service I had, they also couldn’t update my address in the system to ensure I received a bill for my visit. For medical care, I can rate it 5 stars, but for administrative staff, there is zero accountability. Let’s see how many phone calls and hours I have to waste when it should of happened in the first place."
