"One star is also too generous here. I went to the moline location recently. First I went on a Sunday, waited a hour and a half to get seen and i told them my symptoms and what I wanted to be tested for. They asked me the normal questions. I got swabbed for strep and other things as well. Also was having UTI symptoms as well even though I haven’t had a UTI in 2 years and I wanted to make sure everything was okay. Anxiously I was waiting for the results to come back, they gave me medication for my throat and then called me 3 days later and told me they did the wrong swabs and if I wanted to come back in to do them AGAIN!!?? First of all they called too late for me to even go back in that night because they were going to close. And I start work before they even open. I went back today on Wednesday and I expect not to be charged because if they did it right the first time I wouldn’t have had to be there again. The only good thing I have to say about that place is the lady at the front desk was beyond nice and helpful. But I went back today and the lady at the front desk said they don’t run labs if the person is not having symptoms??? What?? I get back there and talk to the nurse and the nurse said my labs were rejected. Like what is going on and nothing is adding up to what anybody is saying. I don’t understand if they had the wrong swabs or couldn’t run them, it took them 3 DAYS to figure that out!!?? And why would they be rejected? I asked the provider to be tested and then you don’t run my tests that I asked you to do and that I payed for!! That is ridiculous. And even more ridiculous to wait 3 days for someone to call and tell me that when I could have went somewhere else. Not even my urine culture? Still have heard nothing about the UTI or the urine culture. Even if I don’t have the certain symptoms they were asking me about, I can’t be tested just to be safe? I’m sorry but that is ridiculous. I’m anxiously wanting to know and I payed for it as well. I will never go back there. Usually I go to unity point health because I trust them and they are fast about the results ! Way faster than this place. GO TO THE UNITY POINT HEALTH EXPRESS CLINIC FOR QUICKER RESULTS AND LESS PROBLEMS. It sounds like people don’t fully want to do their job here as healthcare providers."
"I went to genesis today only hoping to get a referral to another Doctor and they went above and beyond. Gave me a prescription to tide me over till I can see the other dr. Thank you genesis"
"I went there years ago and left very angry because the medical staff at this location were terrible. My husband had gone in for some burns, and they said they were so severe they could not treat his "4th degree burns" and I am sure that it did not help that by the time he finally saw the dr, they were closing in 15 mins. We went to the ER, who laughed out loud when we told them what this medical staff had said. He was given ibuprofen and some cream and sent home. That being said, I have visited this location 3x within the last couple years, and I can say that in my opinion there has been a complete change in the quality of care received here. I have been treated by two different people at least 2 different times, and each time I have felt that they both cared and were there to help. In fact, on one of my visits, as I was leaving, the caregiver stopped me and said, "You know, I was thinking about it, and I would really like to run one more lab test when you have time." I volunteered to head down to the labs right then. They ran the test, and discovered a result that evening. The caregiver herself called me that same night to let me know she was updating my meds and calling them into the pharmacy right then. That kind of care is extremely heartwarming and won me back to going to this location. While I cannot say why their care was so slipshod in years past, I can only say that I have found that they are really committed to making sure patients receive the care that they need now. I feel confident of the care that I receive there. That being said, if you are walking in without a reserved appt (and you will still wait then), you should expect to wait at least an hour (if not longer) before being seen. I think this should be an expectation because a little patience and consideration of their busy schedules goes a long way. They are doing the very best that they can, and they deserve our gratitude for being available when our regular doctors are not."
"One star is too many. We tried to call in to make an appointment, but were told to walk in. We did. After a nearly 4 hour wait, I was seen by the incompetent Nursey nurse Julie, who would not give me a prescription for the recurring condition I 've had for some years. I had been to this clinic before with the same symptoms, seen a doctor or PA, and received my medication. She was condescending, rude, clearly had a God complex. She suggested she prescribe me a potentially dangerous med with bad side effects, then just walked out on me, leaving me in the exam room. No thank you, no goodbye. My husband had a bad sinus infection, but he got no medication either. We are both older and at risk with other health conditions. So, we paid money and were in effect, refused treatment. The front desk was decent but overworked. There were all sorts of mixups. If they can't operate efficiently, the staff should close the clinic and stop making excuses. I do not recommend, and will not go there again."
