"Billed $250 for colonoscopy when first 2 colonoscopies were $0. I even had upgraded insurance coverage this time! Seems to be a coding problem at hshs. Care was very good, as usual, but billing is awful!"
"Horrible management. No sympathy. Friend had a grandparent kill himself and they wouldn't let him take off because he didn't have any proof yet. Unreasonable. Unexpected funerals take time and so does grief. Do not work here."
"You need to work with people on paying medical bills. You are a Catholic hospital. You're supposed to help people. It's not our fault our medical system is so messed up. You need to accept payments people can afford to pay. You can't squeeze blood from a turnup."
"I’m pregnant and went to the er since I had been throwing up non stop all day and I was severely dehydrated. They gave me no fluids at all and chalked up my nausea to a UTI that I didn’t even have. It also took them two hours just to give me a pill. This would be understandable if they were really busy however for the majority of our time there we could hear the entire staff outside the door laughing and joking around about random subjects. When I went to give my urine sample there was no one at the door either and I had to stand next to the desk as the one who was supposed to be taking care of me showed a video to a coworker until finally someone else told me I could just go back to the room. The doctor was no better. When I brought up the fact that I have had UTIs before and have had them since I have been pregnant and they have never made me nauseous at all his exact words in response were, “Well, everything changes when you’re pregnant”. The entire reason I went to their er was for fluids and they did not even give me that. I would not recommend this hospital to anyone. The entire staff was completely careless and brushed off everything I said as if I was the one that didn’t know what I was talking about."
"Overall I'm happy with the care my son received here. From the moment we came in to the moment we left the staff was nice and welcoming. The nurse who was dealing with my son the whole time (who was very nice herself) recruited one of the EMTs that was there to help her when he started panicking about his blood draw. Adam was very friendly. He took a distraction approach to his recruited job which surprised me in how effective it was given my sons nerves in that moment. He seriously needs to work in pediatrics, he would be so welcomed in that field with how well he manages kids with nerves. My boy talked rather positively about his interaction with him over the following days. The only thing that put me off about my sons care was more or less how little information we actually got from the Dr in terms of what was causing my sons pain. Most of it was it could be this or that with no clear path to pursue."
