"Ordered the Mandir Vanity. It arrived damaged. It appears there was no padding between the mirror and the base to stabilize the rotating mirror portion and keep it from coming apart within the box. I immediately emailed pictures to Rez furniture and called. I was told that a claim was already filed and that I would be contacted in approximately 5 days. It has been over two weeks and I have left multiple messages with no response from the furniture company. Their business line is a Google Voice number that they use to screen calls!"

"TERRIBLE customer service. My sister ordered me a chiminea from them for Christmas at least two weeks ahead of time. They don’t tell her until AFTER Christmas that the item isn’t coming and will be on backorder for 5-6 weeks. And now they tell her it will be another two weeks. No offers to make it up to her with a different model or an upgrade. Totally disappointed by the amateur level of service and complete lack of regard for a customer with a pricey order."

"By far the worst online purchase I have ever made. We purchased the chairs on August 5th and was told the chairs would be shipped by the end of the month and someone would contact us to pay for shipping before that occurred. The end of the month had come and gone and we tried to contact them on numerous occasions through email and over the phone to no avail. When someone finally picked up, I was told that the person who had answered the phone was not dealing with our order and someone else was. The person then proceeded to tell, Eric would give me a call back with an update later that day or the next day. Needless to say we never received a phone call or an email two weeks later. Now in the middle of September we finally get an email saying the shipment is in transit to their warehouse and they would be sending it soon. After another two weeks we still had not heard from them, through email or phone. It wasn't until I filed a claim on PayPal about not receiving the item did we finally get an email and update on the shipping status. I will never order from them again, recommend to anyone, and make sure that if anyone thinks about purchasing from them to tell them find another company to order from. Not to mention the chairs were supposed to be white and ended up being yellowish/tan. Very disappointing experience after spending $1300."

"Came in here not knowing what to expect and was pleasantly surprised. Friendly, attentive service and a full showroom of beautiful, quality, handcrafted furniture at reasonable prices. It didnt take long for me to decide I wanted to take a bedroom set home. I had been shopping for weeks and been to many stores and in hindsight there is no question why I ended up buying at REZ. I didn't purchase at "Value City Furniture" because they don't have any idea what the words quality and control mean. The showroom pieces are nice, but overpriced because they want you to finance through them. Not only that, but you could see the cheap quality in some of the showroom pieces as some drawers are uneven/don't fully close or furniture is scratched....on showroom pieces. These are the pieces that are supposed to convince you to buy there, not go somewhere else. I didn't purchase at "The Dump" in Lombard because although they had better quality there than Value City for similar or lower pricing, this was still 1.5x to 2x the prices at REZ for similar craftmanship but with more guaranteed high quality and modern style at REZ. Afterall, from "The Dump" you are getting backstock/overstock and some previous customers warn you not to go there in reviews because of this. Then I tried "Furniture City" in Norridge. Nice family owned business with some cool pieces, but a small selection. Not everything was modern but still looked good and had quality to fit the prices since they have pieces for every budget. I placed an order with them since I liked the price and quality of a bedroom set. However they expressed no customer service throughout the delivery process in which I asked the items to be delivered during the evening or an a weekend. After almost two weeks of not delivering my items, I canceled the order and went with REZ, who delivered my order with a smile in 2 days. I greatly appreciate them and will be back. My only regret is not going here first and saving myself the headache."
