"incompetence is the name of the game at St. Joseph's hospital. They couldn't take a splinter out of my family members finger. I would drive to St. Louis if you want real medical care. They missed a heart attack with another friend. Avoid"
"Most of the staff was nice and helpful. The surroundings were clean. The hospital and specialty clinic where I went looked very nice and new. A lot of parking."
"Do not go to the ER it’s a waste of time. Took my 86 year old mother there as I sit in the ER writing this we have been here for 4 hours and yes we are still waiting they trick you into paying your co pay so you have to stay Never will we come here again. And Breese hospital is the same way"
"I would give NO stars if possible. I reported TWO incidents. One was answered by a phone call. The second, a more serious incident involving damage to my body has NOT been answered. I have called several times and NO takes me seriously. Time for my attorney to take over. Check all your options before trusting anyone at HSHS Highland, IL."
"This is not the hospital to choose if you need anything more than a Band-Aid. I went there a few weeks ago with complaints of feeling sick, weak, extreme abdominal pain. Diagnosis after x-rays? Nothing was wrong with my abdomen. I just might have a slight UTI. Week later, I passed out in my bedroom floor trying to get to the bathroom and almost bled to death from abdominal hemorrhaging. I had to be life flighted to Springfield, St. John’s hospital in order to save my life. The blood I lost was almost black, so it had been bleeding in my abdomen for quite some time. I just can’t believe it didn’t appear on the x-ray just a week earlier. 1 yr ago, I had to be life, flighted the same hospital in Springfield, because I was dying from congestive heart failure. Can this hospital not handle anything more than a Band-Aid? Don’t go here if you fear for your life."
