Reviews of The Dinner Detective Murder Mystery Dinner Show - St. Louis, Missouri
"A fun night out. We had three seats. When we got there, people were seated at our table requiring our group to sit separately. While that allowed me to chat with others, perhaps reserved seating would be more accommodating. They cleared plates without asking if people were done. So, people came back from the drink line to their food gone. The bartender acted as they she was irritated by having customers. The actors were friendly."
"Did not leave this review to get a 'free' gift and was not compensated in any way. People were given gifts at the show if they left positive reviews. While i understand the power of positive reviews in getting new business, those reviews don't provide genuine constructive criticism that tells you how to make the show even better. Paid for reviews are short sighted. Concentrate on getting return customers- we came once and if show is good we will come again and bring more friends. Was an entertaining evening, actors were good. Food was good tasting, salad was adequately sized but main course portion was a bit small, five asparagus sticks, a very small chicken breast, and a tiny potato cut into two pieces. Carrot cake for desert was generously sized. There is a 'venue' fee added to the cost of tickets slipped in during online check out. If that's part of the cost raise the ticket price. Did not like clues presented via our phones- unfortunately my phone did not have good wifi so i was left in the dark on the clues. That happened to other people at other tables. For the price of nearly $200 for myself and guest could have on hand 4 or 5 sets of printed paper clues, or at least let me tell you at the door i have bad wifi so you could print a copy for us. Instead of spending money on the free gifts in exchange for reviews, print out papers so we can enjoy the show more. Give everyone the free gifts so we leave happier and leave genuine reviews. Everyone likes take home goodies. The acting was good, really liked how they interacted with people at tables as it made it more fun. We went with a group of friends, we enjoyed it and will be back. Hopefully the criticism i wrote will be taken constructively to make the show even more enjoyable."
"This honestly was such a blast. I bought as a Christmas gift for my wife and now we can't wait to come back for another! There's humor, amazing acting, great food, laughter, crowd involvement, everything that you can possibly think of! I can't recommend this enough. What a fantastic experience from start to finish. Everything exceeded expectations and was a new favorite experience!"
"So much fun for kids and adults! Everyone had an amazing, fun engaging time!"
"This night was phenomenol! First of all, the Hilton is beautiful, and the food... just superb. And so prettily presented. The actors were absolutely fun and engaging. The murder mystery was a thinker, and we had fun going around the table considering suspects and motives. The actors were all so good and blended in with the rest of the guests. I loved that it was an interactive show, and I was even one of the suspects, and got to play a little part. I was thrilled! We made new friends too. 100% recommend. Oh! And they do private events! They even do themed weddings!"
