Reviews of FHN Memorial Hospital
"Emergency room slow as always you got people hung over from a party put in front of rest too many people that mess with drinking and drugs are a prority ive been sitting here over 2 hours im going to just leave even with the infection i have"
"Avoid. Better off dead. Do not go here unless you want to be misdiagnosed, overcharged, and neglected. Worst hospital I've ever been to."
"Called today to schedule public health vaccinations and the scheduler told me to call CVS. Piss poor public health from FHN and a good example of substandard medical care in rutal areas."
"FHN DRS the worse they refused to read and file Destruction papers from Monroe Clinic 2 Drs did serious permanent bodily damages then they don't want to continue care consultant insist on they have best qualified DRs but refuses to read the record of both put down"
"Woman in labor abused by hospital staff, my girlfriend gave birth here and got drug tested because she missed one ultrasound appointment during her pregnancy because I couldn't get off work to drive her that day, we actually rescheduled it and went to the appointment at a later date, the drug test came back with a false positive for cocaine, before a proper retest was performed they reported us to dcfs And almost got our newborn daughter taken away from us, they did not want to retest her original urine sample, instead they tried to profile us as drug addicts and treat us abusively, our family questioned their hospital policies in place that were affecting our experience while within their care and they were then not allowed to come see us anymore while we were there, when a dcfs investigator came to talk to us we were forced to sign over our care of our daughter to another family member because we were told they would take her into state custody, keep in mind this is all happening before a retest was performed and also in the medical field false positive drug tests are a very common occurence and results need to be checked thoroughly and more then once before a person is labeled and profiled as a drug user, but nonetheless this is exactly what happened to us at fhn memorial hospital in Freeport Illinois's birthing unit of all places, they also told us that they see pregnant mother's using cocaine all the time which really makes me wonder how deep this issue goes and it doesn't end with this inexcusable negligent mistake either, after we were seen as drug addict scum by the hospital staff things got even worse from there, a nurse accused my girlfriend of having a tolerance to fentanyl which was her epidural when she was in labor, the anesthesiologist for her c section was straight up physically abusive towards her and we were just harassed the whole time we were there, basically I had to force the hospital staff to retest my girlfriends urine sample and to test my baby for cocaine, which both of them came back completely 100 percent clean for cocaine but only after they sent it out to another facility after trying to bully and manipulate us into submission by trying to separae us from our families the only people giving us love and support at the hospital and instilling fear and anxiety in our hearts and bodies, we made the best of the situation but it was honestly the scariest most nerve racking and depressing situation I have ever been in and it was because of someone else's negligence and another's inability to feel compassion for another human being to which is the exact opposite of the kind of person that should be in the medical field, I walked out of that hospital not with hope for the future but with fear that the world will tear my family apart, so thank you fhn memorial in Freeport, you almost took everything from me that I care about and left me with nightmares about losing my brand new baby daughter for the next who knows how long."
