Reviews of Garden Oaks Veterinary Clinic
"Visited Garden Oaks Vet and saw Dr Brandon and Nicole. The service from the front desk, beginning to ending has been hands down top tier. They have an online pharmacy and home delivery as well. Highly recommend this location and team."
"This was my first visit, but it was a very nice experience. The techs and front staff were great and the DR was very patient and happy to explain anything I had questions on. I have already booked our next check up there and fully expect more good experiences"
"We’ve been here a couple times and now have both our cats registered here. The vet and vet techs we’ve seen have been incredible at making sure our cats are comfortable and well taken care of. Highly recommend!!"
"I had an amazing experience at Garden Oaks Veterinary Clinic. Recently moved to Houston from out of state and wanted to establish care for my dog. The process to get an appointment was so easy, and I was able to send in copies of my paperwork in advance so my appointment was quick for a first time. They got me in quickly and worked around my schedule. My first impression of the office was that it was so clean! It didn't even smell like animals. The office staff and vet assistance were so kind and I really liked the vet Dr. Bouche! She was very attentive to our questions, made us and our dog comfortable and was also funny! I am so happy to have found this clinic and know our dog is in good hands!"
"Garden Oaks was one of the best and our go-to veterinary clinic in Houston. We had been going here for the past 6 or 7 years, but this past year hadn't really been the best in terms of service and professionalism. On a Monday mid-November, my dog went in for an annual wellness check, and everything was good, no concerns; although, I had mentioned to Dr. Day that I'm concerned about Maddie's continuous coughing. He mentioned she may have a heart murmur, which is the first diagnosis we've heard for her care (we were in earlier in the year in September and there was no records of this diagnosis). I thought about it for a few days and scheduled the EKG test for the following Monday. My dog was admitted to the emergency vet clinic later that week on Friday due to bronchitisand tracheal collapse. I called on Saturday morning requesting an appointment for same day or following week since the veterinarians at the emergency clinic recommended we followed up with our veterinarian for prescription refills and follow ups. I was told that Garden Oaks' scheduling system was down and they cannot set up an appointment for us; however, they wrote down our names and issues and they would call me back and communicate my dog status to the doctor ASAP. My pet was released Saturday morning after being on oxygen for 18hrs and went home with some prescriptions that needed refills by Tuesday. I waited until Monday morning since Garden Oaks were closed on Sunday and called again. They were still having scheduling issues, but mentioned they would call me back. I tried again Monday afternoon noting the refills and required follow-ups; still, there was nothing they could do. I couldn't even speak to the doctor to ask questions. I waited and no call backs from the clinic until late Thursday afternoon. It was unfortunately too late as we had to rush my dog back into the emergency clinic Monday night where she had passed away. When I received the call back on Thursday afternoon, it was very upsetting for me to even talk to anyone from the clinic. There was no "I'm sorry for your loss" nor was there a "Sorry for your loss" card (at the very least, the emergency vet sent us a card a few weeks later and called to check in on me). I understood that my pet situation required the help from the emergency clinic so it wasn't like Garden Oaks would be able to do much more to assist, but the service and professionalism by this clinic was unacceptable. If you need routine prescription for your dogs, then, come here, but any real diagnosis and treatment, you should reconsider. If you are in need of the emergency veterinary clinic, I highly recommend the Veterinary Emergency Group (VEG) off I-10 and Studemont. During the whole time, I was able to speak directly to the veterinarians and they made sure I understood what was happening."
