Courtyard by Marriott Chicago Glenview/Northbrook 1801 North Milwaukee Avenue, Glenview, IL 60025

"As a Marriott Titanium member who travels a lot, I was very disappointed in this Courtyard. The exterior was updated and the lobby looked good. Unfortunately, the halls and rooms are outdated. Room 143: It's -3° tonight and the is an extreme draft coming from the patio door. After taking a look, seems like the door haa been pryed and damaged causing a 6" long hairline gap. In addition, the bottom patio door is pushing air inside the room. I had to put the ottoman against the door to pin the curtains against the door...no help. The sink drained slow and because it was quiet in the room, I heard what sounded like a drip. Looked under the sink and all the water was stopping on the floor from the p-trap. That carpet was wet, but was concealed by the gray carpet color. No wonder it smells like mold in the bathroom area. YIKES!! If someone contact me, this review will be updated accordingly. As of now, I am canceling my 8 upcoming stays. Good luck everyone."

"Fine hotel, nice pool, comfy rooms, a rude housekeeper. I visited my friend who were staying at the hotel. There was a housekeeper named minerva, she opened our door when i was naked, she didn't even knock. She shut the door and went without apologizing. That is inappropriate unacceptable hotel employee behaviour. When we were checking out, she looked at me in hateful and jealous way in the corridor. I did nothing wrong, i didn't even say anything to her. I didn't understand why she hated me. Maybe she was just jealous, I can't belive such person is hired by this type of hotel."

"The hotel was uncomfortably hot. The heat was too high and the air in our room, hallway, pool area, and bistro felt stale. Bistro staff said they had complaints from the doorway being drafty, so the hotel overcompensated by turning the heat up way too high. Had to sleep with the AC on in December. Staff were wonderful and kind!"

"Ideal as somewhere to sleep and shower when visiting family nearby. Clean, felt safe enough, comfy bed, decent shower. Pleasant receptionists. Coffee bar not amazing but you can get hot drinks and snacks there. Vending machine stuff available too."

"No hot water the two nights we stayed here. Bathroom had no ventilation. Mentioned it to front desk but it wasn't the staffs problem. It's a known issue and management don't care. They rather just have their young staff deal with upset and angry customers on their own. Couldn't see a single manager in sight while the other guest were upset with the young staffs. This hotel should be stripped away of their Marriot title. A hotel that charges you $200 a night without hot water is ridiculous. The courtyard, fireplace, and staff was great. How this hotel and management run it is just sad."
