"This was my husband and I first time visiting the Bolingbrook Star Cinema Grill and I have to be honest that I’m truly disappointed in my experience. We were there to see Bob Marley: One Love 10:30pm show on 2/14/24. Upon arrival the theater was closed as it stated “Cleaning in Progress”. We didn’t think anything of it until we realized it was time for the show to start and noticed no one ever went in or came out the theater. Well we decided to say something and was told the cleaning hadn’t started yet, but that a crew would be in to start the cleaning. Once partially cleaned we were informed that we could go into the theater. We got inside and as you can imagine plenty of people were complaining that the seats weren’t cleaned properly nor was the theater. Once we got to our seats C7 and C8 my seat wasn’t working leading to me not being able to recline my chair like everyone else in the theater. I informed the staff then the manager and was told she would be back to address the issue. She never came back and I was never offered to change seats. We ordered food and drinks food was terrible we had hard Southwest egg rolls and chicken wings. The reason we pay so much money for these movie tickets if for the recliner chairs, the drinks/food in movie experience. I’m truly disappointed and I understand being understaffed but not addressing the needs of the customers is a bad choice. This is not the way I wanted to spend my Valentine’s Day as this is a special day between two people and I feel that it was ruined with this experience. I actually reached out via email twice still no response."

"Great time! We misplaced our tix for the movie, but luckily the customer service rep was able to help us. Ricky helped us get our movie info and even showed us to our seats. He was beyond accommodating. We ordered cheesesticks & spinach dip. Both were delicious. All of the servers were very nice & polite. The theaters are spacious & allow privacy per couple. You can also purchase a blanket during the movie. All service & dining is in-seat at the tap of a button. Sound quality & viewing quality are great."

"This was a much better movie experience for me. We got the vip pods - and for an introvert it was the only way for me to do the movies. It was like no one else was there. As far as the past reviews of food taking to long etc. We did not experience that. All the servers were so nice and very quick. We ordered before the movie started and the food came right as it started, so I have no complaints there. I also wasn't expecting much from the quality of food, but I got the ceaser chicken wrap with fries, and it was SO GOOD. I will definitely be back, in a pod, with a drink in hand for the next movie!"

"I'm happy that this movie theater location is back open with new owners/operators. It makes for a great date day/night with the bar, pool tables and in-theater privacy pods. Some of the menu items are pricey, so when I visited with two children, our bill was over $70 for tickets, one small popcorn and chicken tenders. Legit, everything was shared at those prices because adding another popcorn or second order of tenders would have taken the bill up to over $80. No bueno! I recommend they add a kid popcorn+drink concession option, and roll out a loyalty program."
