Reviews of VisaHQ - Passport and Visa Services - Chicago
"If I could give them 0 stars, I would. I am the sole interpreter for a medical humanitarian team traveling to West Africa. We were advised to send in the original copies of our yellow cards along with our passports and applications. When our visas were processed, they returned our passports WITHOUT our yellow fever vaccination cards (these documents are required for entry into the country where we are traveling) I called immediately and requested they send our yellow cards via FedEx overnight shipping, as we were leaving in just over 2 weeks. They did not comply, but instead used USPS mail. This took several extra days. When we finally got it, they had only sent back ONE of our three documents, even though I specified each name both over the phone and via email. I called again and asked for them to fedex overnight the other two yellow cards, as we are now leaving in LESS than two weeks. They promised to do so, and then did not send me a tracking number. When I called back, they informed me that they had sent them AGAIN via USPS. It's distinctly possible that my team will not be able to travel because of the carelessness and lack of urgency VisaHQ has shown. I am absolutely appalled by the service we have received. We paid an exorbitant amount of money in order to avoid stress and hassle, and yet ALL I have experienced with this company has been stress and hassle. I will NEVER trust them with my important documents ever again and I recommend you don't either."
"BE CAREFUL!! Not Forthcoming!!!! I received an email from Pablo Delgato from Chicago's office saying I had done a great job preparing my application, never stating that the wrong form was filled out - tourist not the business. The cost was $118.00 more than the agreed $261.00 and they never contacted me before billing my charge card $118.00 more. I am very disappointed in the lack of communication and honesty."
"It was maybe a little expensive, but they kept me updated all along the way. We hit a problem in the middle of the process, but they were very good at keeping on top of the problems and getting it resolved quickly. They set reasonable timelines and set my expectations properly and then followed that set timetable."
"VisaHQ made the process of applying for a Brazilian visa quick and painless! I appreciate the clear status updates (documents received, documents look good, information submitted to consulate, visa approved) and knowledgeability of the staff when I called to check if processing takes 4 weeks as originally quoted--and yes, the timeline was spot on. Also, the option to require signature at delivery gave me added peace of mind that my passport wouldn't end up in the wrong hands. :) Can't say enough good things!"
"I sent my passport to visa HQ to get a visa to China. My flight was on Sunday and I was suppose to receive my passport back on Friday. Unfortunately my passport was not sent back to me as promised until Monday which caused me to miss my flight. I had to go through the haste of canceling my hotel, my car rental and I also lost $307 to refund my ticket. I tried to contact management several times with no luck. They are not truthful and will not recommend them to anyone"
