"One of our favorite places to stay and have a guys' weekend. This AirBnB house is a real classic, with plenty of space, decent internet, and plenty of separate rooms to accommodate all of us. I believe there are four or five bedrooms in all, each with at least a full bed. With the couch downstairs, plus all the floor space for air mattresses, you could easily accommodate 6 or 7 couples here. We tend to have 5 to 7 guys, so plenty of space. Heating seems solid for the winter, but the one downside is that in the summer, the air is a bit unreliable. We found the kitchen, dining room, and living room pretty warn this past summer, but each individual bedroom has a window unit to keep it cool. There are three bathrooms, one on each level and one in the basement. This is a must have for us, as one bathroom is just not enough for 6+ guys. The dining room table is big enough for most of our board games, and we use the various comfy arm chairs too while playing. If you're looking to sit around a large table and play board games with your buddies, you'd be hard pressed to find a better place in Carlinville, IL. I think next summer if we go back, we're just going to play in the basement because there's a table in the laundry room and another in the game room down there, and it stays plenty cool down there all day."

"Several friends and I spent a long weekend in Carlinville during the summer. The Carlinville Grand was a comfortable place to return to after a day of exploring. The outdoor space was perfect for dining, a fire in the firepit or just watching the fireflies. The kitchen was well-equipped and had all the necessities for meal preparation. We had a great stay and will definitely stay again the next time we are in the Carlinville area."

"I stayed here for a girls weekend. There was plenty of room for all of us. It felt like stepping back in time to a grand home with high ceilings and original woodwork. It was within easy walking distance from the downtown area with a variety of shops and restaurants. It had such character and ambience inside, in the garden outside and the beautiful front porch. With clean and well maintained kitchen. You will enjoy any of the rooms with comfortable beds."
