Reviews of Hilton St. Louis at the Ballpark
"They do the best with what they have. It's an old downtown building with some plumbing issues. The room was mostly clean. Called the front desk in the morning to have our tub cleared. It was slowly filling with water. Maintenance cleared it, but by 8pm it was still not cleaned. Evening housekeeping came fairly quickly when called to take care of it. Great location close to the arch. Lobby and event rooms well kept."
"We stayed three days at the Hilton St. Louis at the Ballpark for a conference and were happy with the accommodations. Having a Starbucks on site was really nice and a self pay store area. From the front desk check-in to our check out, everything was top notch. We also had a wonderful view of the Archway...waking up to the sun glowing like gold off of the Archway was so pleasant. We will definitely stay at this location on a future visit to the area."
"Wonderful hotel! Great service. Convenient location near the Gateway Arch, the Ballpark, and only a few blocks from the convention center. Great views from the rooms. They have good food and drink options with reasonable prices; including a 360 rooftop bar, which is a must see!"
"I booked a stay New Years Eve to New Year’s Day. The Hotel lobby is beautiful and the staff very nice. However, I booked and paid for my room almost a month ahead of time yet, when I walked into my room there was already a guest assigned there. Upon returning to the front desk and explaining the situation they were just as shocked as I was that this had happened. The attendant went on to ask more questions about what I saw in the room. They decided to give me another room and assured me that the new room would be safe to occupy. I asked would someone be able to access my new room like I accessed my old one? He replied no. Now upon booking I should have been made aware that the rooftop experience was a separate entity and was sold out for New Years event. I was even more upset when the hotel bar closed at 11 pm and we were asked to move to the lobby for which the bar was also closed. It’s New Years EVE!! I felt like Hilton dropped the ball when it came to accommodating guest who booked for New Years. When I think about all those rental spaces that could have been turned into a New Years celebration and charged admission for guest I think about a missed opportunity for them to make money. The rooftop charged 175 per person, but as I a stated earlier it was sold out. In the future, I will consider another establishment for my hotel stay."
"The rooms are very worn out. Things would fall apart when used so it kept you on your toes, lol. Ceiling is only about 6 feet high in some parts of the room and you can reach the sink faucet while on the toilet to give you an idea of how small the bathroom is. Our beds were clean and comfortable though. The hot tub in the pool area no longer exists and was filled with concrete and the area was dirty in general. Pool was minimally heated. Staff were quick and just did their jobs. Breakfast was very good relative to the quality of the hotel. Breakfast servers were friendly. Hotel lobby was okay, nothing fancy just small and subject to outdoor temps since it is next to the doors. We liked the Starbucks but it ran out of some menu items :(. Also, no microwave in the room and the one available in the lobby was locked up at night and the food vending machine was also locked. No snacks available after 9. Not ideal if you have kids. Room service was very good burgers and fries arrived before they said and were delicious. This place wins on location."
