"I have given Cozy Suites a chance to correct SEVERAL mistakes they made during my last stay, but they have made NO attempt to do so. 1) Bedbugs. We IMMEDIATELY requested a different room, and were told "We are at capacity, we can not switch your room". We weren't even offered clean bedding and linens, and when I removed them from the room "Maintenance" actually PUT THEM BACK IN OUR ROOM and stated that he didn't want the rest of the hotel infested. I was told no "compensation" would be offered because there was no "proof" and they had to "inspect" for bedbugs first, but they called an exterminator and actually demanded we "check out" early so he could do his job... What EXACTLY is his job if there aren't pests? In short, we were told (aggressively, repeatedly, disruptively, and menacingly) to vacate a room we PAID FOR. We were actually told "You had time to pack yesterday". 2) Mail Tampering. No kidding, the maintenance man opened our USPS delivered Amazon package and disposed of the shipping materials. My partner noticed his merchandise sitting on the man's desk in plain sight and did receive it, but OPENING USPS MAIL THAT IS NOT ADDRESSED TO YOU IS A CRIME. That is according to the United States Postal Inspector's Office... Which is, by the way, the correct law enforcement agency to call if your mail has been tampered with. Press 3 for "fraud". Just don't stay here. This place is awful. Truly awful."
"Customer service kept me in a loophole for over 4 hours just to deny my reservation because they couldn’t process my valid temporary license. It’s a valid license and I’m just waiting on my physical to come in the mail. Customer service is very disappointing. Don’t waste your time"
"Spent 1 month here, and I have a lot to say: Pro: - Communication. Host responds quickly and helpful. - Location. Everything is in walking distance, I mean EVERYTHING. - Check-in. One of the quickest and non-problematic check-ins I ever had. You will see people commenting on it, but this was my personal experiense. Cons (oh boy): - Shower. From the 30 days I stayed, 15 the shower didn't work properly, so I had to take a cold shower. The other 15 days were a PAIN to get it to work. Somethimes I had to leave it open for one hour for it to heat up. You WILL have problem with it. - Cleanliness. I mean, it was not that bad, I had no huge problem with it, but it was common to see litter, dust and overal dirtness on common areas. - Kitchen. I never used it, but 50% of times I went there, it had dirt dishes. - Noise. O MY, the walls are made of paper. You will hear EVERYTHING, INCLUDING people having intimacy. Overall, OK experience, but never stay more than two days."
"We drove 4 hours to the hotel, but they never emailed me the door code or room number. I didn't know that there wouldn't be a receptionist, so we were locked out after reserving the room ahead of time. We called the number and were put on hold for over an hour while they tried to figure out the simplest things. It was 1am by the time we finally got into our room. The worst experience I have ever had with a hotel. 1 star means 0 stars."
"This stay was through the Cozy Suites website. It was our family's first time in St. Louis for a wedding. We booked a loft, and I would have liked to assume the room would be ready for a new guest. Sadly I was mistaken. After arriving from a 5 hr drive, we would have wanted to rest, but the following happened instead. Arrival: I could not enter the room with the provided codes and had to hunt a representative via phone, text, and email at 4 am. After entering the room, we were getting ready to go to bed, but the bed looked funny. Upon inspection, the bed was broken once we pulled the mattress off to see why it looked that way. They said they could send a maintenance person over, but it would be until morning. So we placed the mattress on the floor with our 1-year-old. Once we noticed the bed was broken, under the bed was a bunch of leftover trash from what we assumed was the previous customer. Fake eyelashes, wrappers, and other waste were around the bedroom. Day 2: The company sent over a handyman to "fix" the problem. Their solution was to simply put the broken pieces back together and leave it like that. No nailing down, no screwing boards down. After letting them know this issue was not resolved, they resent the maintenance person over. Little did they know, we happened to bump into who that person was. No words were exchanged, but the body language said it all. He looked bothered and annoyed and looked like he did not want to resolve any issue. In the end, they ended up buying a metal frame as a temporary fix. After notifying CozySuites, they only wanted to refund me back $50 for the inconvenience. That was a slap to the face since there were so many things that occurred. They did end up coming to an agreement and were able to refund $182 of the $400 and something I paid for. Overall the experience could have been better. It was my first time utilizing this company, and will also be my last."
