Reviews
"The theater has been remodeled, and it is so nice. I enjoyed the movie sponsored by AARP. It was for Black History month. Wonderful movie."
"This was my first time visiting the Hi-Pointe, and I had a great time. Staff members at the concession stand were friendly, and the greeter was nice and informative. Overall the the theatre was larger than I expected. I did notice, noise from HVAC system during quiet moments of the film (well I'm assuming it was the HVAC system). But these sounds weren't harshly disruptive."
"The theatre experience was good. The restrooms are upstairs. You have to climb a steep, narrow stairway. Using real butter on the popcorn and reasonable prices for food is great! They always show great movies. Past Lives was very good. Free screening tonight to see My Fat Greek Wedding, the original. It is still a great movie, even though I saw it before"
"The magic of the cinema - at least on occasion - is when a theater can enhance the film being enjoyed. The Hi-Pointe Theatre achieves that feat perhaps more than any other venue I can recall. My son and I enjoyed Wes Anderson's "The French Dispatch" this evening, and the Hi-Pointe Theatre made it almost feel as though we were characters in a Wes Anderson film."
"Nothing bad to say. Cool, old single screen theater located at the highest point in the city, hence the name. Normally, more independent, hipster films are played here. The theater reminds me of the theaters of my 90s upbringing with a gentle slope. Not quite as bad as some where a tall person in front of you kills your line of sight. Screen seems huge. Stag for sale at the lobby shop. Only annoying thing is that if you buy your tickets online you still have to have it printed at the box office."
