"We called the day of to book a one night stay, and we were welcomed even when we had a later than usual arrival around 6pm after dark. We were met with the camp host who guided us into our site which was a nice long pull through, which we really appreciated since we took off early in the morning and we could stay hooked up to our rig. He was very kind. My husband called this RV park as, “if a car guy owned campground” because there’s lots of old cars scattered around. We enjoyed that. I would stop again!"
"I am unsure of the plans to beautify this RV park. That being said, here is my experience. I wasn't the one who booked this mini-vacation. I was told the name and, of course, pulled it up on Google. Since kids are involved, I had to see what all the grounds offered. I was thrilled when I went to the website and saw all the cool things to do. Mini-golf, basketball, volleyball, kid's kitchen, candy bar bingo, movie at night, multiple playgrounds, and a pool. Let's dive into these amenities. The mini-golf is extremely run-down (see pictures). We saw a basketball hoop set up on a small court and one hoop on the ground. I only saw the volleyball net from a distance, but it was not usable. The kid's kitchen is a cute area, but we didn't visit that part due to time constraints. Candy bar bingo was definitely fun, but for an activity for kids, the numbers were rattled off a bit quick at times (I understand that happens, especially since the cash bingo started right after this bingo). We had to ask where bingo was being held, as there were no directions or info. This is the reason we did not get to experience the outdoor movie. It was so hot, and we didn't want to walk around the campground to try and find the movie. Next up, playgrounds. The playground by the pool is alright. The playground by the bathrooms (see picture of partially completed playground) wasn't bad, and they said it was still being built. My concern was the pile of playground parts that was getting covered by overgrown grass. The other playgrounds, I wouldn't consider playgrounds due to the deteriorated condition (see pictures). The pool...this was a highlight of our stay. Decent size, delightfully chilled water, super clean, with chairs, and tables. I did not get a picture because we were having a blast. There was no store to get any miscellaneous items, in case we forgot something. They do have an honor system for a couple of what I would call necessary items. Onto the actual campsite. It was incredibly small and not very level. On the plus side, it was full hook-up. We had to move the fire pit further away from the camper since it was too close. It ended up on the hilly part behind the camper. It was not a good place to sit around the fire since it was a hill. The view of the sky at night was simply wonderful. You can see the Milky Way make its way across the sky. It was a very quiet campsite. We didn't see any other people out at night. Time for the location. The RV park is right off the highway. It isn't a particularly busy highway, so we really didn't mind. It was close to Hannibal, so we were able to make a day trip over there. To sum it all up, the website is deceiving, and we won't be back. I truly hope they are able to return the campground to a beautiful RV park."
"Under construction to make great improvements. The owners are awesome. Great experience so far. My stay was very peacefull, the owners were very responsive every time I called. Very affordable. This will be a great camp ground when the renovations are complete."
"Not the prettiest campground, but the people, campers and owners, are the friendliest! Shower house is functional at best, pool is nice, and the pool house is nice. It appears the owners are working on beautifying this campground. The roads are gravel. Sites are close together but people respect your privacy. Sites are fairly level. Water pressure is good as well as the water quality. Electricity was fine. We didn’t try the WIFI, I’m not even sure they have it. The best thing about this park is the proximity to Hannibal. It’s about a 15 min drive. Lots to do in Hannibal! All in all we’d stay here again. The price is right and it’s not a bad place."
"At first we wondered if we should stay but we are glad we did! We were only there for about a week but I think we had the best spot in the campground! They had just finished a campground yard sale(I sadly missed), had bingo and a nighttime movie for the kids! Casey was always helpful and very responsive to her phone. We were able to get mail sent to us here. Pool was salt water, cold and refreshing! The grounds were kept cut which gives lots of areas to walk your dog which we love! They were upgrading the drainage while we were there and you can see they care about their park. Laundry room was available and I was thankful! Great stay!"
