MidTown Motel 2731 Mount Pleasant Street, Burlington, IA 52601

"At 830a.m While my 8 year old son was showering, the owner showed up, barged in and accused me of smoking because of the steam coming out of the bathroom (the exhaust fan didn't work and my son loves hot showers) and told me my son needed to get out of the shower. The owner leaves, then comes back 5 minutes later as I'm finishing up my son's shower, tells me again he needs to get out of the shower, waits for me to get him out, pushed past my son and knocks him down So I get my son up of the floor and the owner proceeds to take the trash (which is fine because I had it all gathered up) and leaves again then as I'm using the restroom, he shows up AGAIN, tried to let himself in, why I'm not sure, it was creepy and weird. Then the best part, I go to brush my teeth about 10a.m and he shut the water off to the room, why I'm not entirely sure but it was probably the most unprofessional and rudest thing you can do when someone pays $60 for a room. He needs to learn hospitality and respect for his guests, especially when the guest is so you rely on to stay in business."

"If you ain't got nowhere to go they'll take in it's a little pricey but probably go on the website and get a econo Lodge.. trap hotel...."

"Very bad. I reported this place to the board of health. Its ran down, smells, bugs, mice, very dirty, moldy. I walked from the bed to the bathroom. My feet were black. Kinda over priced also. 350 a week. They go in the room. Leave the door open. Turn stuff off. Kinda sketchy also. The guy that runs the front desk. His face is covered with a mask."

"Nasty nasty place! Owners are very rude and asinine! And they make everyone pay a different amount based off of their opinion of the person. Went there one time and they charged my mother $65 to get a one bed room, and then went there a second time not even a month later and the woman working their charge my fiance $45 cash. And the rooms were exactly identical in the same!!! But both times the following morning almost 45 minutes before checkout time, housekeeping came around along with the owner to the place demanding that we give them the keys to our room! tried explaining to them that we still have 45 minutes and what if we left and needed to get back in our room before it was check out time and they just demanded that we get our stuff and we go ahead and leave then!!!!"

"I am surprised to see the earlier review . My experience at the hotel is entirely different than what has been mentioned in the review. The rooms are nice and clean. The Owners are nice,friendly and helpful people. I am in the town for a short term IT project and sort of made it my HOME. Its really nice and affordable . Nothing got stolen from my room . Nothing sort of wrong happens around here. I have not seen anything crazy-going in here. Very Safe.. I am glad I am staying here."
