"I am not sure if I got the deal of the century or if this hotel is always so affordable, but it is absolutely gorgeous from top bottom. The historic building has been remodeled and has historic charm, but does not leave you wishing they had done a bit more updating. The finishes in the rooms are fantastic. And the restuarant... the food was amazing! I had to debate which one of the dishes to choose because there were 4 or 5 that looked amazing, and the prices were much cheaper than you would expect from a hotel restaurant. Loved it!"
"I booked my room along with 16 other rooms for a business gathering. We made our reservations through Alysia. I can't think of one thing she could have done any better to make our stay exceptional. Every coworker has told me how nice their room was and how easy it was to get checked in. The hotel speaks for itself, but it's great when the staff is as exceptional as the property."
"Stayed here recently for 3 nights. Had wife and teenager in town. The staff was professional and courteous. Rooms were clean and made every day. First time in a long time I paid for a hotel that gave me more than what I paid for. Great place if you’re staying in moline."
"This is our second stay at the Axis Hotel in Moline. As there were three of us, we stayed in rooms with double beds, which are a bit smaller than the rooms with single King beds. The building was built in 1929 in Art Deco style. It served as an indoor golf and office building (per a hotel tour guide). That is why the rooms are set up in very interesting ways. You enter through a long hallway, where you reach your bedroom, and around the corner, you have a long hall leading to a grand bathroom. You get a large closet and many drawers, thoughtful nightstands next to each bedside for your phone, glasses, and keys. You get a set of robes and slippers, and ear plugs (which you will need…I will explain in a moment). Everything in the room is beautifully decorated, from the carpets to the beds, art, classic accessories, and fabric wallpaper in the bathroom. It is super clean. You actually want to stay in, in your room. It feels amazing and very cozy. You can also walk to a few great restaurants in the town. I recommend the Lemongrass. Now, there is one bad thing - how noisy it can get. That is why you probably get the two sets of earplugs on your night desk. ;-) The walls are quite thin, making it easy to hear noises from neighboring guests or the morning chatter of the cleaning crew in the hall. However, the real challenge is the door-slamming issue. During our stay, a group of young guests kept going in and out around 1-2 am, causing the doors to slam loudly. A potential solution could be the installation of a slow-down mechanism to allow the doors to close gradually. The view is on the street or the library across. It is not busy at all. You can park on the 2nd floor in the garage and walk through the walkway directly to your room. Downstairs you can grab breakfast and there is a great French-inspired restaurant (The Syndicate Bistro) with great food (reasonably priced). There is also a convenience store. All the staff has been friendly the two times we stayed there. Except for the noise issue, the Axis Hotel is gorgeous and a great place to stay in the Quad Cities. We will stay there again."
"We booked an Event with Alysia. She and her staff were amazing. The room was set up and beautiful well in advance of our luncheon. The food was delicious. Mark was very helpful with flowers and offered his assistance if we needed anything. Anne made sure people in our party had whatever they wanted to drink and upon check out there was a little mix up with ours and our daughter's room and Sean got the bill straightened out for us. We had a wonderful time, the Hotel and the rooms were beautiful and the food in the restaurant was delicious. Total success. Thank You."
