"I brought my dog here the day after I had brought him to an urgent care for suspected spinal pain. As soon as I walked it I was put off. Unwelcoming from the get-go but I needed to get him in to a general practice so bad I ignored my gut and hoped for the best. After waiting in the tiny exam room, the vet came in and did not seem at ease with my dog whatsoever. He then had me muzzle him, fine, I get it. When he started the exam, instead of asking me to try to get him to stand up, he dragged my 100 pound dog across the floor by his neck. I was appalled. He was so forceful throughout the exam for a dog with suspected spinal pain. We discussed bloodwork and x rays and he insisted I have him sedated. Again, fine, I knew my dog was already terrified and in pain and not at all comfortable with this vet, so I hoped this was for his benefit, too. Walk out to the lobby and they told me to go do some things and they'd call me when they were done. I was put off by this as normally I would wait but I left and waited for a phone call. The only phone call I received was asking for more x rays, which I approved of. I never got a call to pick up my dog, so I kept calling waiting to pick him up. When I get someone to pick up, I head over and right away a tech lets me know he had diarrhea and "sat in it" and they tried to clean it off and was "still stinky." My dog was covered in feces and looked absolutely traumatized. My boyfriend takes my crying dog to the car while I wait to be told what's going on. A lady brings out amoxicillin and when I ask what it's for - she doesn't know. The doctor never spoke to me, and he seemingly wasn't there. The tech called him and we spoke over the phone there, and he says he has "possible bronchitis." I leave, pissed off, but ask for all results to be sent to me. I got nothing but a nearly $900 receipt. The next day when asked for the records, the front desk tells my coworker I opted out of bloodwork. When I look at my receipt, I clearly paid for it. So I call back asking for a refund and the lady acts confused. I get put on hold for the millionth time, and eventually hang up. Suddenly I get bloodwork emailed over with a redaction of ANOTHER DOG'S NAME at the top, then the un-redacted name on the next page. The vet tried to say they filed it under the wrong dog. When I asked how I'm supposed to trust that bloodwork I was only offered to come back in and do bloodwork again - no refund. I would never step back in that place ever again. How this place is open is beyond me. We walked out with a traumatized dog, a giant bill and no answers."
"I took my dogs to Pflugerville Animal Hospital on February 1, 2024. In brief, I would describe it as chaotic at best, lightly traumatic at worst. I didn’t fully realize what had happened or how bad it was until I was away from the clinic for about an hour and started processing the appointment; the more time I spent thinking through the events of the day, the more I realized how terrible it was. The following review is long and does not include all of the details, meaning there is even more to this story. I have two dogs – I took one of my dogs in for a nail trim and one dog in for a nail trim and a slew of health-related questions (she's geriatric). I left with one question answered, a bunch of meds that I didn’t know the purpose of, without the meds I did specifically request (flea/heartworm/tick), and having only one dog with trimmed nails. The nail trimming that did happen, happened as a result of my demanding. As I walked my dogs out to the car I realized they hadn’t even attempted to trim the nails of the older one, so I went back into the office and noted to them that they hadn’t trimmed her nails. I was told to come back at a later date; I pushed back on this as she is old and kept falling on my wood floors, and this was essentially the primary reason I brought either of them in. I had to demand more than once that they complete the trimming that I had requested. The front office staff were apathetic at best, dismissive and rude at worst. The techs were clearly frustrated with me and the one who took my dog back for the nail trim did so with a sigh and an eye roll; not exactly a vote of confidence. I apologized to staff once every few minutes because the tension in the air was so palatable, but as I look back, I realize I was simply asking for services requested to be rendered. *Of note: there was one tech we interacted with who was kind, however, she stated she “took notes” for the doctor as I expressed my many concerns for my older dog and yet she didn’t have a note pad nor a computer and I had to re-ask all of my questions to the doctor. I called the office following the appointment and asked to speak to a manager, I explained my frustrations and was given an email address. I sent 3 emails before being contacted by an office manager. The office manager was initially empathetic but very quickly became frustrated with me when I explained all I wanted was a refund for services as services weren’t rendered (I paid for meds and nails separately – 3 separate charges total for the day; I was requesting a refund for the office visit as, again, my plethora of questions and concerns went largely unmet and the meds provided to me were not explained to me). The office manager informed me the intention of her call was to answer my questions, not provide a refund or come to a mutually agreeable resolution. I do not believe it should have been necessary for me to take additional time outside of the scheduled appointment (2 phone calls and 3 emails) in order to have questions answered that I presented with at the time of my appointment. I’m not even certain the vet spoke more than 3 sentences to me. It was truly a waste of time for all parties involved – staff, techs, vets, myself, my dogs. Worse than it being a waste of time, however, is how degrading the experience was. I do not feel that any point my dogs nor I treated with dignity or respect. I’m so disappointed and as I write this more than a week later it is with tears in my eyes. Those dogs are EVERYTHING to me and they did not deserve the treatment they received. I feel shameful that I allowed them to be treated with the lack of care that they were. The appointment was simply awful, I will never return to this location or any other location associated with this business, and I would highly recommend that if you love your animals, you keep your fur babies far away from this establishment as well."
"I’ve had an appointment set up for most of the week only to arrive and be told that they won’t see my dog without records from the previous vet. This would have been nice to know days ago before I showed up on time for the appointment. This would have been good to know at the time I actually tried to set up the appointment as well. Why did you not tell me this ahead of time?"
"Love our vet, Dr Gudipally. He treats my dogs like his own."
"Staff was very knowledgeable and provided great care for my cat. X-rays were a bit pricey though and I had to go to YouTube to see how to administer the medication they sent home. Would have been nice if they could have showed me."
