"This review has been a long time coming. My relationship with this firm began when Mrs Eggleston spoke at a meeting for single mothers needing legal help. I briefly described my situation with child support and she said they would represent me for “a couple hundred dollars” When I reached out after the meeting, I was directed to Mr. Eggleston. I was told it would actually be $1,000 as a lump sum to take care of my case. I completely understood this and paid. Soon we realized this would be a bit more complicated because the other party was not super cooperative and had also hired an attorney. I was told I would need to pay more than I initially paid to cover discovery and trial. Once again, I understood and paid. I gave these people my entire savings, as a single mom. But I thought that would cover everything the rest of the case and it would be worth it. The receipt even says it would cover appearing for the final hearing and discovery. I never got what I paid for. After discovery, where we received barely anything from the other side, which I still don’t understand why we accepted it. I was told I needed to pay more or be dropped as a client. I was completely tapped out and had already paid in full what we agreed on to cover the entirely of the case…twice. I couldn’t afford to pay anymore so I was dropped. But that’s not even the worst part. I’m left worse off than before I hired him. The temporary order he placed was never dealt with so every year my child support payments completely stop until I contact the AG office and have them research and extend the temp order. That takes over a month where I get no child support. The AG office also wouldn’t speak to me for months about my own case because they said he never let them know he wasn’t my attorney anymore. I feel like the least he could have done if he was going to go back on our contract was to not totally leave me screwed over. I feel taken advantage of and like this was a bait and switch. I cannot recommend this firm and caution anyone from using their services."

"Absolutely positively horrible, and a HUGE SCAM! SCAMMED ME OUT OF $10,000. I retained them over a year ago for an issue out of Texas, I am a resident in Florida. I was told I had a court date to resolve some issues, then allegedly it was cancelled and never again did I hear about any rescheduling or anything. No time or effort was put into my case, and I’m sure it was a bias position against my case from the PAID ATTORNEYS I gave $10,000 too. Don’t get scammed and listen to the other low rated reviews. They are there for a reason. I’ll be pleading a case to the Texas Bar over this. Can’t believe these types of people get away with things like this."

"A year ago today I paid Eggleston law firm $5000 to change my visitation papers so l could see my daughter. We went to court for the 1st time at the end of March, six months after I paid them $5000. The court date was to get the okay just to have my ex served, since she does not live in the states. Two weeks before my court date I got a bill saying I owe $3000 more. I asked many many times why it took six months to get a court date just to serve my ex with papers. I never got an answer. It's been over a year and I still have not seen, spoken to or know where my daughter is. Please save your money, time, and heart ache and go with another law firm."
