"My in-laws have gotten their jewelry from Lambrecht's well before I joined the family so naturally that was my husband's first choice when it came to designing my wedding ring. I wanted something that was a little different and I wanted color in my ring. Lambrecht's helped us design something that was elegant but also unique. 12 years later and I still get compliments on it! After such great service, naturally we recommended it to others. One of those recommendations was made to my brother. My brother was living in Texas and trying to get an engagement ring made with existing family diamonds. I'm not sure if it was because of his lower budget or because he had his own stones but he got treated really poorly at other jewelers. They hardly gave him the time of day. When he was here for their wedding shower we suggested stopping by Lambrecht's. They treated him like they had treated us for many years, with great personalized service making sure every detail was taken care of. My brother said it was an absolute breath of fresh air. He even came back and got his wife's wedding band from them as well. Just this past week another friend of ours came up from the city specifically to go to Lambrecht's to get his engagement ring. Seeing him also well taken care of is what prompted me to finally write this review to let folks know that Lambrecht's customer service is so above and beyond that folks are willing to travel to experience it. "Having been a long time Wilmette and North shore resident and business owner I like to shop local to support local stores and economy. I purchased a ring here for my wife for a Christmas present and one of the accent diamonds fell out of its setting sometime that day. I brought the piece back and they immediately contacted the maker and sent it off to be repaired. They were very apologetic even though it wasn’t their own made piece, and offered to refund or credit us for the ring. Matt was in his own words “embarrassed” , which was very reassuring. We elected to wait and see how it came back. This is why we shop here or at other local shops if at all possible. You can work with in person to resolve any issues that may happen and you can actually feel when someone is concerned as they were with this experience..
