"I have been visiting horsefeathers for 20+ years, I have moved away, but in my recent visit home I decided to stop in for old times sake. I was shocked at the new layout of the store, but it was such a great experience to be able to walk through the store. Although my favorite incense weren’t in stock, I was shown 3 other alternatives (that I now like better than my original). Everyone was so helpful and still the same great vibes when you come in… I had a great conversation about the updates to the store and the new system with the manager."
"Paid my first visit to Horsefeathers about a month ago. There was a great sale and I was able to pick up a lot of pretty things. Everyone in the shop was super helpful and I'll definitely be stopping in again!"
"Wow what happened to this place? I used to love coming in here and browsing around looking at all the cool and unique things. I’ve gotten many funky items from here that I still have 15 years later. I am visiting for the holidays and stopped in to what now looks more like a vape shop with everything behind glass and a ticket system like I’m at the deli. I read some recent reviews and can’t believe how hostile these people are to their long time customers. This place was a staple of the community that I always talked about when reminiscing about back home, hopefully these people let someone else run it or chill out while there’s still a chance. They talk about their long time success but that was because of all the things it USED to be. Thank god I didn’t have any patriot attire or Trump apparel or god forbid my daughter with me or they wouldn’t have let me in in the first place. Sadly this place will fall by the wayside but not because of prices or convenience like other retail failures, but because of the neurotic new managers who get off on arguing with customers like it’s Facebook. It’s sad because people loved this place like it was a friends house, not just because of the cool products. Hopefully they turn around and save themselves. See crazy response below:"
"I have been coming into this place for 10+ years. Moved away and was my first time coming back in a few years. Super excited to go in and had my mom and daughters with me. 5 & 3 years old. The man working today (11/17/23) was VERY rude the second we walked in due to having my kids with me. I asked if they could wait with grandma at door since it was cold out and he was still super arrogant. Sad to say this but will not be back. I understand if you truly don’t want kids in there, but you could have been nicer. Kindness goes a long way in this world."
"What a horrible experience... I am still smudging away the bad vibes that I absorbed from my recent visit. I have not been to this establishment in quite a while. As I walked in I was greeted with a "take-a-number dispenser". That was just weird. The front desk/checkout gave me bad pawn shop vibes. The experience in which I use to visit for was one of wonder and un-told treasures as you explored all the cases and flipped trough the abundance of unique and colorful outfits that covered the walls, which are now blocked by counters of nothing but piercings. When the gentleman at the front counter and I talked, he asked my opinion about what it was that I liked the area of the shop that is now closed but soon to re-open, and I mentioned how unique the pieces were, but when I mentioned how pricey I thought the crystals were, he got super defensive and persisted to attack and belittle me. He asked me If I owned a business and proceeded to tell me how his research and prices are better that fair. "Well sir... I own three businesses and one is that of spiritual nature involving crystals and I can tell you that the energy you bring to that establishment will never support abundance for you.""
