Reviews of Wharton County District Attorney
"I wanted some information on a possible court date for myself and the lady on phone was no help. I thought my case was dismissed when I was released from jail. These people with a 10 an hour job get a high head and won't help anyone when our tax dollars are paying for their salary. I feel she is not very proffessional"
"I wasn't exactly able to make so many friends in town for some reason. I had become friends inadvertently with members of law enforcement and got to speak with the DA. Yet there is an outstanding warrant I presume however no details will be released, I have to request from the Sheriff's office in person which seems like a trick. For a misdemeanor I am not actually guilty of I could wait in jail for 1 year before trial or judge. I do not know why judges in general seem to be impressed by someone hiring a $2000 attorney. I think people out to speak directly to the judge instead of --the point of hiring an attorney is to figure out how to get away with a crime. I do not know why there would be a secret warrant out for me at the county level that would not show up on federal database or at state level. Something doesn't seem right about that I am contacting a law librarian today. Don't seem to be able to make friends to talk about food and shopping and movies so I call law librarians. I was able to make a deal with the DA here on condition that I return to court 3 months later without issues but that could not be fulfilled. I was in trouble with a police deputy for reporting child abuse that I found out about from neighbors. One more thing is that allowing any 18 year to immediately become a cop may be a reason why the police use of judgement in situations is questioned. Alot of people myself actually feel that there are things the police cannot do and I want to help the police. And that when I was 18 maybe I didn't feel accomplished enough to become a police officer at that time. I was looking into the military and planning my studies in biomedical engineering and molecular biology to cure disease and be useful in health. I'm fascinated by all these satellites google images provides and the purpose of the NSA. I'm a professional writer. Hopefully I can redeem myself. Please don't allow drug dealers and violent offenders to make bond/bail. I couldn't make bond for small non violent issue. There weren't alot of jobs in town, my budget was limited. It is incongruous the national policy on bond/bail. the way the legal system actually works, I found out is that a person charged with petty non-violent misdemeanor is going to be more likely to plead guilty as to not have to wait for months or one year to see a judge or go to trial. Something wrong with this. I am enrolled in computer programming classes online and creating a database with criminal information and sentencing. We will see what trends emerge. I hope to prove useful to the court."
