"He took his passion and turn it into his ministry. Mr. Marley was not only very straight to the point, but also honest. He communicated with me in ways I could understand. He took the time to explain to me what was going on. I do have to say, being honest with him, helps. His number one rule, "Do not lie". I communicated to him, everything, good or bad from both sides, my fears of what I did and did not do to keep the family safe. I did what he requested, spoke the truth. Mr. Marley is also an ethical lawyer, he was very conscious about both parties issues and concerns. From the beginning, he told me, " I am here to seek the safety of your children and a healthy out come for all of you" I know it sounds strange, but it in my case, this was important for the emotional healing for the children, their father and I. Mr. Marley is just and fair, when it came down to our request and agreements for the divorce. My ex-husband's lawyers were brutal and mean. They not only put me in a almost 5 hour interrogation, but also requested that the children will not have contact with me, I had to move back to Dallas and may other things, that only brings total destruction. In my case, I did what Mr. Marley asked of me "speak the truth", and that is what I did in the five hour interrogation and trial, the rest of it it was done by Mr. Marley. My Ex-husband's lawyers did everything to win, but at the end they lost. Base on friends and relatives input, my case was a difficult case to prove. Mr Marley presented my case and advocated for my children and me, in a way that the story was told with transparency and just. In less than one hour my case was presented and we won. We won almost everything we had requested. I only can say that Mr. Marley took his passion of advocating for families and turn it into his ministry."
"I am not a person who writes reviews but I am too impressed not to and chances are there might be a person out there wondering who to choose so here we go: Highly recommend. Honest, kind and genuine person that will treat you like family/friend. He goes above and beyond to make sure you are taken care of without ripping you off. In addition to being super knowledgeable, he will make you giggle to cheer you up while wiping your tears away. I am very impressed about what good of a person this lawyer is which has made me reconsider my perception about lawyers in general. Definitely do your own research and compare him to other lawyers before you choose him but I already know who you will pick once you have a conversation with Mr. Marley. ;) I am SO GLAD I found this guy. I got exceptional service at a fair price (yey!). Be careful who you trust in this world and I hope who ever is reading this will find my experience helpful."
"I had an emergency situation where CPS was going to remove children from their home due to their father’s abuse and neglect. Stephen was quick to jump on the case to secure a temporary retraining order giving Mom possession of the children. I found Stephen to be responsive to calls and quick to get the motion and order drafted and in front of the judge, all within a few hours. Highly recommend!"
"Horrible attorney. If you want a good outcome from your divorce I suggest you look elsewhere. Mr. Marley was unreachable most of the time and did not respond to phone calls, emails, or text messages. When I hired him he insisted he would fight for me and my children but in the end he did not. All he wanted to do was settle. I would have had a more favorable outcome representing myself. Worst attorney I have ever had."
"I truly cannot say enough wonderful things about Mr. Marley, but I’m going to try my best to convey as much as possible. When my husband and I moved to a new state, we discovered that the place we had rented was uninhabitable. (As just one example, the mold was so bad that I was unable to breathe.) Unfortunately, the legal protections for renters in this state are horrible, and we had already signed a two-year lease. Luckily, however, a friend referred us to Mr. Marley. Although he specializes in family law, the most important thing to us was having a lawyer we could trust. We were in a very precarious situation, had already lost a lot of money on the move, and stood to lose substantially more money still. We desperately needed someone who had our best interests (not their own bank account) at heart. That someone was Mr. Marley. Right off the bat, Mr. Marley was extremely responsive to all our time-sensitive questions (and we had LOTS). He also very clearly communicated when he would be able to review documents, make phone calls on our behalf, and otherwise get things done. He also showed the perfect balance of listening to us and advising/guiding us. For example, when we first explained our situation, Mr. Marley suggested that we try to break our lease. However, wanting to avoid yet another move, our original goal was to get the landlord to fix the problems that made the place uninhabitable. Mr. Marley listened to our concerns and updated his advice based on what we wanted. Within the next day or two, though, it became clear that all the problems couldn’t possibly be fixed quickly enough, and those problems would take a toll on our health in the meantime. When we realized we needed to break our lease (as Mr. Marley had originally suggested), he already had a plan ready to help us. Our landlord reacted very badly when we told him we wanted to break our lease. It was clear he was used to getting away with treating tenants horribly, and he was furious that we were standing up for ourselves. I think Mr. Marley’s experience in family law was especially helpful in dealing with personality types like that of our landlord. Mr. Marley knew exactly when/how to both escalate and de-escalate. He was honest about what outcomes we could realistically expect versus what would be a stretch. He was also was very upfront about the sort of situations in which we might want to involve another lawyer—one who specializes in property law. Again, the whole way through, he absolutely had our best interests at heart Ultimately, Mr. Marley was able to get us out of lease and get our full security deposit back—all without ever having to go to court. There were so many difficult decisions we had to make along the way (e.g., whether or not to sign a new lease before our old lease was broken), but having Mr. Marley’s advice throughout the whole ordeal made a HUGE difference. I don’t even want to think about how things would have played out with his help."
