"After over a year of my son attending the Penny Lane Oak Lawn today was the day that we have decided to pull him out. When my wife pick our baby we received the daily report via email . The report was done by the teacher and states that my son didn't ate at all for over 8 hours not even milk. When for other minor instances they have call us for anything else this time they didn't notify us of this. This is unacceptable and we will report to DCFS. BE AWARE OF THIS PLACE . THE ONLY ANSWER WE GET FROM THE FRONT OFFICE Management WAS THAT THEY ARE SORRY AND THEY SPOKE WITH THE TEACHER. REALLY!!!! Another Time the maintenance guy was about to paint the room with kids been there and again. We were told by the office that we talk to him and the assured it won't happen again. Another time baby came with a diaper rash like they haven't changed him in couple hours.. Those parents that have doubts about it. I have proof of all this including reports and pictures. This Kids are our future. kids like mine that can't talk yet I'm wondering now what is going on behind those doors when we hope, trust and pray to God that we have make the right decision choosing this place. Our child was just a number that makes me sad. YES AND O DO CARE FOR THOSE KIDS THAT ARE STILL THERE. Reconsider taking your child here.. Do your homework so you don't have to feel how we feel now. Excuse typos and abbreviations. Very Concern Parents."
"I didn’t want to make a comment but I felt I had too. My son has been going to the school for over a year. My son was transferred to new classroom with no notice I was confused on where to pick him up and where to get him. My son had a hard time transitioning to his new teacher. We where getting phone calls once a week at first . We where ask to pick him up in the middle of the day if we where not able to pick him up he could not return the next day. We where still responsible for paying for the whole week. After having a meeting with the teacher and Director we where able to resolve the issues. Then all of a sudden we start getting the calls again to pick him up. I decided to remove him from the school . I think we both needed a break. I notified the school I was going to remove him from school. The Director had a very nasty attitude with me. On the last day at school my Son was very agitated he mentioned about the incident he had at school with his teacher that day. I’m not sure how to handle it at this point? I know for sure he will not be returning..."
"I have two children currently attending Penny Lane School. My son has attended for almost four years and my daughter nearly a year. I have never seen or experienced any unsanitary conditions, racism, or any unfair treatment of any kind. Yes tuition is pricier than other schools in the area but (in my opinion) you will get what you pay for. Both of my children are definitely advanced in their academics compare to other children in their age ranges that attend other schools. The teachers are trustworthy, kind and extremely dedicated to meeting the parents expectations in their curriculum. I will always recommend Penny Lane School."
"My son attended Penny Lane for a few years including kindergarten. The teachers were all very nice and helpful, the front desk staff not so much. The financial rate and tuition were pretty high in comparison to other day cares however I didn't mind paying because he enjoyed it here. The only thing I regret is not transferring him out for kindergarten. When he transferred for 1st grade to a new school the teacher let me know how behind he was and that he was going to have to work hard to catch up. This was very disappointing to hear due to when I met with his kindergarten teacher he was always meeting and exceeding expectations. When I signed him up for kindergarten I specifically remember hearing the teacher telling us that teachers from other schools are always very impressed with how ready penny lane students are for 1st grade after attending however this was not the case at all in my situation. As a daycare penny lane is great but I do not recommend the kindergarten program."
"My son has been going there since he was 6 months old. I'm a Latina parent and have NEVER experienced any sort of racism here. The infant program Is amazing. They taught my little one how to use sign language, of course it wasn't fluent or anything but still, I was very impressed! It is pricey, but it's worth it. I don't get why people complain about the billing stuff.. it's a service.. u have to pay for services. No money no service, right? Just get on automatic billing if it's that big of a deal. The staff is great, they're on top of their stuff, they know almost every kid by first name and are very friendly. I've never experienced any negativity from the schools staff or faculty during these 2+yrs."
