"Went in with my daughter for glasses. Front desk staff are great but the lady working OPTICAL was lacking on her customer service skills and was bothered by our visit. Very short with me, not helpful, and seemed frustrated because she couldn’t quickly verify our information. I will drive the extra 35 miles to the Edinburg location next time. Edited to add.. we went into the small Thurmond next door. The service there deserves a full 5 stars but there isn’t a spot to review them. Front desk staff and optical are both fantastic, kind and profesional."
"They are professional and trustworthy but the problem with Thurman is that they're in the RGV. There's a mindset among the medical profession to book as many as you can to increase your billing sales with a total disregard for patients time. The doctors usually arrive late to a waiting room with patients pasts their appointment time. This is a common medical culture in the RGV; I've not seen this in Dallas or Los Angeles. Bottom line: the doctors seem to care more about their business than their patients. Thurman is no exception. Like all of their colleagues they take advantage of the senior citizens. Very poor testimony of this honorable profession. I'd rather drive 550 miles to see my former eye doc than contribute any benefit to these inconsiderate professionals."
