"Stay away from this daycare. If your child is attending, ask them carefully what their experience has been, especially if they were in a class with Ms. Pam. (I heard Ms. Pam retired but read the rest of the post). My child attended this daycare, I came many times to the classroom. In the beginning, everything seemed to be fine. In the beginning, my child never cried when I left or screamed Mommy multiple times but he soon started to do so. He wasn't very verbal at the time to explain what was happening, so I started dropping in more at the daycare. After a week, I started witnessing Ms. Pam: (in the Preschool class) 1. Yell at some of the children 2. Drag a girl to the sink right after her father left and shouting at her she knew not to draw on the table 3. Another teacher came in from another class telling Ms. Pam that her grandchild was misbehaving and Ms. Pam said I will discipline him (so no other teacher was allowed to discipline her grandchild in another class) 4. A boy at a computer telling Ms. Pam how a girl in the class pinched him and Ms. Pam yelling at the girl to recreate the act of pinching him and then when she does, Ms. Pam yells at her more to not do that 5. My child screaming for me one afternoon and completely lurching his back from Ms. Pam who was holding him and all the while Ms. Pam and the Director telling me "he was just acting up because I was there"....and then later blaming it on the fact that I was moving from one place to another and that's why he behaved that way. NO! I have moved multiple times, my son has NEVER lurched like that away from anyone. 6 AND FINALLY, I came one day during my lunch hour and Ms. Pam was directly yelling at my child during meal time with all the kids sitting down at the table and she was just unrelenting in her yelling at him...he was only 3 years old and she was yelling "YOU PUT THAT DOWN! YOU DON'T TAKE THAT MILK! YOU DON'T PUT MILK BACK LIKE THAT! THAT'S NOT YOUR BOWL TO TOUCH!" I came in during my lunch hour and was standing right outside the door watching and listening to her yell at my child and when I opened the classroom door, Ms. Pam took a gasp and completely stopped and looked away. There was another teacher, Ms. Heather, who was in the classroom sitting at the other table where there was another group of kids eating and she witnessed the WHOLE THING and did not stop Ms. Pam from yelling and berating my child. I took my child out right then and there. When I informed the Director Amanda, she completely defended her teachers and she then she got snippy and said why i didn't bring this up to her earlier if all these things were happening. I told her she was not in the center when I was there and this stuff was happening and her response was she was busy at other centers and she was right, she opened up another Bright Horizons very close by in Naperville soon after. So protect your children and again, if your kids are attending and are either in Ms. Pam's class or have had her, please do speak to them about their experience."
