The security system there is a nice touch, as well. It's a little pricier than other daycares, but the extra cost is worth it knowing that our child is going to a safe place where he is loved every day. "As I reflect on the past 11 years, there's so much I want to share about my experiences. When my child started at the age of 3 ½, she did not speak English, communicating primarily in Russian and Ukrainian. Despite the initial language barrier, within 3-5 months, she seamlessly learned English with the assistance of the dedicated teachers. Their support not only facilitated her language development but also helped her with communication and learning. She genuinely loves her teachers, often coming home excitedly talking about the day's activities and what she learned. We highly recommend The Goddard School in Round Lake because of its excellent curriculum tailored for children. Additionally, the presence of a barn where kids can engage in activities during inclement weather is a feature we appreciate. Even my son, who is now 11 and attended the school, continues to feel a sense of connection. Every time we go to pick up my daughter, his former teachers greet him warmly, asking about his well-being and remembering him kindly. This sense of community is something we cherish. Moreover, the school's commitment to family engagement is evident through the various activities organized throughout the year, such as movie nights in the summer with popcorn under the sky. These events create lasting memories for our family and contribute to the overall positive experience at The Goddard School. "We enrolled based on a high referral from friends. We have been treated like family ever sense. All pandemic transitions have been seamless. My child learns so much every day and truly enjoys the Goddard learning process. All of the teachers have been wonderful, everyone truly enjoys their careers at Goddard. All staff takes the time to get to know each child and family and ensures that everyone is treated equally. The facility is set up perfectly for maximum education including modern and clean classrooms, toys, books and outdoor equipment. They also have a great indoor gym area for the children to enjoy when the weather is not so great. We love our choice to go with Goddard because they really put education first, this is not just an early childcare facility it is a school."
