"I thought they were a great bank but they ended up closing my account for no reason at all just because they're stupid don't go there don't use that bank they're shady they are very shady they butter you up with a pretty nice things and then they rob your money from you and close your account with no reason or no provocation and they won't give you reasons why. They are just as bad as Bank of America if not worse both of them Banks suck they robbed you steal your money close your account and you'll never see your money again"
"This is a great bank. (I posted the previous statement a little over 3 months ago.) My opinion has changed dramatically; so this review will be CHANGED SIGNIFICANTLY. My late wife and I opened individual checking accounts and "College Savings" account in 2009 at the Aubrey location. The staff there were excellent; they treated us like millionaires. A year later we moved into Denton, switching to the North Branch on Carroll Blvd. We received the same outstanding service, felt at home there, as in Aubrey. The North Branch VP, Mr. Aaron Benedict always shares a funny or interesting anecdote. All tellers are always warm and ordinarily recognize me even though I am not in the building all that often. {NOTICE: 5 Stars for the North Branch and Aubrey locations} IN April 2023, I had reason to conduct a particular transaction at the South Branch on I35E near Teasley. Due to health issues (permanent disability, two hospitalizations) my driver's license was about 45 days past due. The teller was quite a young man (boy) who was obviously new in the job, refused to execute the transaction - which was a simple cash advance (>$1k) from my Soc. Sec. Benefits debit card to deposit in my checking account - because of the lapsed D/L. I pulled out my Social Security card, my Medicare card, my Healthcare Insurance card, more too, to assure the boy teller that I was indeed the person named on the Social Security debit card to no avail. I mean, ALL I was doing was depositing money into my checking account, not even taking money in hand. My frustration was noticed by the S. Branch Manager - Daniel Boles - he did give the teller the "go ahead" to complete the transaction that time and one additional time. Now I had been doing this exact transaction at the North Branch (1700 Carroll Blvd) EVERY MONTH for THREE YEARS; rarely did a teller need to have me produce a picture ID; everyone knew who I was. I understand how these sorts of identity verification are necessary in many cases - large sums around $10k, questionable checks or documents - but unnecessary for ANY long-term and known customer.* (with three accounts at PointBank *since 2009.)In fact the ONLY reason I had to go to the South Branch was because the "dedicated" phone line that is used for cash advance approvals was out of order at the N. Branch that month. Now when I finally got my "Highly Suspicious" cash advance deposited into my P/Bank checking those two times I figured the S. Branch would KNOW WHO I was and what sort of ORDINARY financial transactions for very small amounts I conducted. However, the cash advance phone line at the North Branch IS STILL NOT repaired - It's September 1, 2023. I had to go back to the South Branch again twice for the EXACT SAME transaction with the EXACT SAME boy-teller who has "chastised me like I'm a twelve year old who's dog ate his homework" EACH TIME acting as if they don't know who I am, whether I am laundering money, stealing some old person's Social Security Benefits debit card or what...funding terrorists perhaps! If it weren't such a pain in the a** I would laugh hysterically. I mean I could just drive through their darned ATM, withdraw the cash (NO ID REQUIRED - what??!!) and deposit the cash into my checking account - but that gigs me for $3.50 ATM fee because my Social Security debit card is NOT a PointBank card, each time I need to DEPOSIT MORE OF MY MONEY into THEIR BANK. Funny, but I thought that making deposits INTO a bank would be welcomed and assisted - NOT a repeatedly HUMILIATING EXPERIENCE! I DO NOT need YOU. I will be going to my local CREDIT UNION where they will actually ASSIST ME to deposit MY MONEY! Good Riddence Mr. Boles and your boy-teller. Thanks to your two HORRENDOUS and demeaning approach to Customer Service I will be CLOSING MY ACCOUNT, withdrawing my money and smiling broadly as I walk away. You have thrown away a LOYAL customer since 2009, you small minded Branch Manager & the Boy-Teller."
"I have been a customer of Point Bank for many years. They never disappoint. Yesterday, I met with Personal Banker, Chantel McLaughlin, to help me dispute a charge on my account. She was so personable and knowledgeable, I felt compelled to write this review. I just wish that all my business dealings were handled in such a pleasant and professional manner!"
"I have been a PointBank customer for years, both personally and with our business. The professionalism and helpfulness from the staff at the North Branch over the years has been tremendous. It doesn't matter when we call, they are always prompt and ready to help us. I definitely feel that we are well taken care of and that they look out for our best interests at all times. It is truly a pleasure doing business with the North Branch!"
"Everyone i dealt with while getting my loan was extremely friendly and courteous. Cheyenne was an absolute sweetheart and took her job very seriously. She made sure everything was 100% accurate and to my liking. They can keep great conversations so you don't get bored while waiting. However, this was one of the fastest trips I've made to get a loan. Will definitely be doing my business here from now on. Would recommend to anyone."
