Ian Smith, LPC

"Ian Smith has been seeing my kids for some time now. I couldn't recommend him less. Why? - Ian's reply time to emails about my kids care is without exception two weeks to never. - Ian held one on one sessions with my ex-spouse about my kids and I was never invited to participate and this was never disclosed to me. - Ian allowed my ex-spouse to sit in on sessions with my kids to suggest topics and prompt my kids. This was never disclosed to me and I was never asked to participate. - When asked to CC me on all communications between Ian and my ex-spouse about my kids' care, Ian refused and explicitly instructed me to stop asking for this information. - It took 9 full months for Ian to provide written plans of care for my kids. When he did, they were all identical/boiler plated documents. Ian had been asked dozens of times for these documents over this 9 month period. - When provided with a very disturbing video concerning one of my kids (his patient), Ian did not reply. When asked 2 additional times for his thoughts about this video and its affect(s) on my child, Ian still did not respond. - Ian is indeed "cool" and "fun" and is really good at playing games (i.e. Uno) with kids to build trust. That aside, I question Mr. Smith's professional ethics and I am appalled by his utter lack of communication. - I will be filing a formal complaint with the proper state department/agency about Mr. Smith."
