"Firstly, I am leaving this review on behalf of an encounter with only one of the counselors here. I am sure that Thrive has many other great counselors to see. My review is specifically regarding Tammy Doyle. During my first session with her, which was in person, she answered two phone calls, one of which she had a one minute conversation on. She also spent most of the time talking about herself and her past. It is important to know the background of your counselor, but she went into much depth, taking away time to explain what brought me there. I also did not feel heard when voicing my concerns to her. This was my very first counseling session, and it took me years to come up with the courage to finally go. It was a really disappointing first experience. My hope is that she is very helpful to her clients, but this was not the case for me."
