First State Bank

"This bank has been a living nightmare trying to have a business account for a e-commerce business. They will NOT allow you to pay for advertising, connect your account to online stores, receive payment for products sold. They lock you out of viewing your bank account online every day! They lock down your company debit card, daily! If you have a e-commerce business DO NOT BANK HERE! This bank’s security department has no idea how to work with online stores! They marked Amazon as fraud and I can’t receive payments from my Amazon sellers account. They marked FB, Instagram, TIKTOK shop all as fraud and will not allow me to receive payment. There is no way any business can conduct business online with this bank!!! I paid $700 for a Hulu ad that hit 4 days ago. All for NOTHING! The ad links to my TikTok Shop account and I cannot receive payment on anything because my bank refused to allow me to pay my TikTok shop monthly fee. Therefore my online shop is locked down so the Commerical I paid for was for nothing! I will be filing complaints with Banking and Finance simply because this bank cost me $700 this weekend and all they can say is “ sorry, I will create a ticket for you”. When trying to run a business, who has the time to call the bank every time you need something done or want to check your balance? I know I don’t!"

"Ive been banking with FSB Decatur for many years and have recommended them as well. I cannot express the friendly and Best service they offer."

"I would give a 2.5 star if possible, because they are not really a 3. FSB as a bank is okay if you are a small individual who dont need good online banking or online bill paying, or any of the other high speed technology services the bigger banks offer. FSB is a business and technological Neanderthal. It takes them almost three weeks to set up and bring your account and cards online when starting a new account(s), and their debit cards are declined by half of the ecommerce and merchant sites who use offshore processing. Mine is routinely declined using PayPal because of offshore merchant accounts. I have never in the last ten years of banking with Chase had the issues accessing my money the way I have with First State Bank. So much for a convenient local bank. If you want slow small town service, FSB is the place for your money. If you want quick seamless financial integration in your life, go with one of the larger national banks."

"We went in to discuss loan possiblites and were met with the most condescending employee acting like we are the lowest form of life. All because we need to have our taxes refiled to correct an error. Please adjust the attitude of employee Carla Sherman"
