"I have tried this location multiple times, giving them multiple chances to do their job. Every time I go, there is yet another excuse for them to not clip his nails fully. I pay for it, and he comes out with his nails barely done. They say things like, “he was just too scared“ or “we tried our best” or just not saying anything at all. All staff have very low confidence as if they have no clue what they’re doing whatsoever. I don’t trust them ever to perform their jobs. I know how low my dogs nails can be cut safely and saying the bleeding excuse should not be used for laziness. I understand the possibility of bleeding if cutting too low, BUT THATS NOT AN EXCUSE EVERY TIME. Y’all have a JOB to do and the staff, OF ALL PEOPLE, should know the limit and figure out a way to cut a dogs nails. I don’t care if he’s scared, it needs to be done… Dogs will never enjoy the experience so might as well get on with it and traumatizing or not, cut the damn nails. $20 for nothing every single time."
"I very rarely write a negative review, but this is a must read if you are considering boarding here. I typically choose to chalk it up to a lesson learned & move on. We boarded our doggy girl for the first time at the Wishbone Riverstone location 7/14-7/16/23. Our girl was there from early Fri afternoon to Sun with a groom on Sat. Grooming with LA is the BEST & only positive abt this location! We followed her to this location as many others did. I was told that pickup was by 3pm on Sun when I scheduled & again when I dropped off. I understood this to mean show up anytime before 3pm. I called on our way to get her & kept getting the answering machine & no call back to the message I left. I had to engage the groomer to contact the owner & mgr. We then had to wait abt an hour for the mgr to show up. The only communication was via LA, the groomer, on her day off. Obviously, the communication breakdown, and inadequate staff training are huge issues. The young mgr claiming she told me pick up was at 4pm when I booked & dropped off just further infuriated me because she absolutely did NOT properly communicate that to me. She didn’t greet me when I walked in after waiting because she said she knew I was upset & kept further emphasizing that I was raising my voice when she was continuously interrupting me to tell me abt her inconvenience to come & meet us at a non-pickup time. I did raise my voice because she was making excuses, interrupting & talking over me. There is nothing provided or posted other than Closed on Sun & word of mouth isn’t appropriate, apparently not to be trusted, and unprofessional. Adding insult to injury, the mgr brings my freshly groomed dog out smelling of pee & her pillow bed SOAKED in urine. My dog has NEVER peed in the house, much less on the pillow that she sleeps on. She is pee pad trained in our garage for wet weather. The mgr stated that it was like that at the 6am check in Sun. I should have been contacted at that point & seriously question the experience of the staff. If they walked & let the dogs out as promised, there is absolutely no way our girl would pee where she sleeps! I’d already paid at this point & left with a traumatized pet that smelled like urine & a stinky, urine soaked pillow bed. I’m not sure how you charge to send a freshly groomed, boarded dog home with the stench of urine that has been entrusted in your care. 5 stars for the groomer, LA! She was kind enough to bathe, dry & brush her out again on Mon. morning with curbside service. I’ve yet to receive any communication from the owner despite requesting the mgr have the owner contact me if they wanted my return grooming business. I can forgive a miscommunication for the pickup, but not caring for my pet or informing me before I paid is unconscionable. Boarding would NEVER be an option again & now I’ve no intention of returning. 1 star because 0 is not an option."
"I am a happy pet mom to Melody and Reign who are 13 year old miniature pinchers. They are a delight to care for. Unfortunately, Melody has pancreatitis and Reign is a picky eater. Several months ago, I discovered My Perfect Pet Dog Food at Wishbone Pet Care . It’s perfect for Melody she has not had one flareup of pancreatitis on this food. Prior to my Perfect Pet Food Dog Food, I had tried all of the products that are recommended for pancreatitis and none of them worked her . She loves the Chicken potato free, grain free blend. I feel good about serving it to her because it’s made with all fresh ,whole foods. It comes conveniently packaged frozen in bars, and it’s easy to serve one bar per day. I give her half at each meal. Melody looks forward to meal time and I take delight in serving her the best without fearing that she will have a pancreatitis flare up. I’ve found the perfect pet food for my girl. G. Smith"
"We had our 2 stay with Wishbone over the break. Our little one has anxiety and has never done too well with others. They were great. Dogs were great. Wishbone even called us to give us an update which made our holiday better."
