"This review is about Rhonda Bonnette. Up until our last appointment I had felt that things were progressing nicely. Our sessions went from weekly to biweekly, previous concerns were resolving, it seemed to be that I was on a positive trajectory, to then be blindsided the morning after our last appointment with a message from Rhonda stating, "I don't feel that our therapeutic relationship is benefiting you..." and when I asked for clarification she stated, "Ethically it doesn't appear that you are benefitting from our sessions... this will be the end of this discussion." To say I was hurt is an understatement. I was confused, angry, blindsided and felt disrespected. Never did Rhonda ever mention in any previous sessions that she was concerned with my progression. Never did she state that she may not be a good fit for me and that I should look elsewhere. We had a therapeutic relationship for all of 3 months, and while I appreciated any insight and validation experienced during our sessions, I was completely blindsided by this demand to terminate our therapeutic relationship. Beware. This may never happen to you but after allowing yourself to become vulnerable with a counselor, are you willing to take that chance with her?"
