"The most atrocious new patient on boarding and insurance verification system. While the therapists might be great, there’s isn’t an obvious and streamlined approach between intake, therapy, insurance, and billing. Ellie Mental Health is a middle man for these therapists that typically need to manage their own scheduling while Ellie seems to fail at everything else. The therapist I see isn’t even able to see people in person at an office which creates this other confusing situation between outsourced admin work to weird hour off-site call centers. They fail to take accountability for poor communication and drafted $155 above the agreed upon amount. It took months for them to give me a straight answer about my co-pay. Eventually they agreed to a rate much high than the intake person told me I would pay. I was already developing a relationship with my therapist and didn’t want to start all over. I’m baffled at the miscommunication and audacity for them to say how much one thing is and charge another. Agree to less, more, payment plan, and then take money out of my account without consent. It’s frustrating that this mental health clinic acts more as a financial predator than a desire to help their patients get help that they need. Absolutely zero consideration of their patient’s time, money, or financial situations. RUN FAR AWAY FROM ELLIE I ABSOLUTE DO NOT RECOMMEND ELLIE. This has been a nightmare to sort out since February’s intake until now (July)."
