Reviews of Bexar Family Solutions
"First, let me say that my review is 100% unsolicited, and that I am officially a "fanboy," lol. Additionally, at the risk of sharing my private life with the world, I would like to say that I wholeheartedly disagree with the other reviewers experiences. I am a current student, who was ordered to attend this co-parenting class by family court. I have already taken several courses online and in person that I had chosen on my own to help facilitate my co-parenting relationship with my ex — without any suggestion by the court or anyone else. I learned quite a bit from the other classes; however Mr. Bannin’s class explores the unique and extremely difficult strategies for effective communication between two people who have obviously shown a penchant for poor communication — hence their require attendance to this class — “myself included.” Anytime someone is ‘court-ordered’ to attend a class that teaches an emotionally-charged subject, where there is a history of pain and suffering — it seems likely that some students or potential students may have difficulty accepting their personal responsibility for being there in the first place. For some, perhaps the idea of a structured class offering information that they feel they don’t need is a hard thing to accept; however, rather than passing judgement on a teacher who is delivering time-tested, and research-supported information and knowledge “before actually even attending a single class,” perhaps they should take a step back and the ink of their children? This class is not a personal affront or judgement of an individual’s communication or parenting skills — it is merely a “highly useful” base of knowledge that if approached with an open mind — could have a positive and profound effect on his/her interactions with their co-parent, which is inherently going to benefit their child(ren). After all, isn’t that the goal of all of us as parents — to transcend our own emotions, and focus on how we can do what’s in the best interest of our children? I find this to be an excellent class, packed with practical knowledge, and delivered in a highly structured and professional way. Sometimes the verbal examples given by Mr. Bannin are so well-delivered, that numerous students have asked him to repeat himself so they could jot down or record what he said. I understand the strong emotions that this situation can evoke, but I would urge any potential student to set aside any anger, frustration and/or skepticism, and take advantage of the opportunity to learn skills that aren’t commonly taught. I mean seriously, if we all took this class before things went sour in our relationships, maybe we wouldn’t have ended up separating in the first place, and the divorce rate wouldn’t be so high? If you are ordered to take this class, there is a 100% tuition subsidy available that makes the class “FREE” for those who qualify. Consider making the best of this opportunity to learn some cool skills, and approach this class with an open mind. You may be surprised at what you clean from the class, and how useful it can be. Thank you for such an incredibly informative and well-delivered class, Mr. Bannin."
"The dude here hung up on me after I said "no thank you" after he said their prices were $450 lol this place seems worthless."
"I wouldn't return to this place of business for any services. I was disappointed that a person that would be teaching a class of adults this type of content could be so rude and unpleasant. Very accomplished "gentleman" with a very big ego problem!!"
