Hannibal Children's Center

The Hannibal Children's Center, located at 150 Medical Drive in Hannibal, Missouri, is a learning center for children ages 6 weeks to 12 years. Our mission-driven center focuses on empowering each child to become healthy, self-confident individuals by providing resources for interactive play and learning. We are licensed by the State of Missouri - Department of Health and Senior Services and accredited by the Missouri Accreditation of Programs for Children and Youth.

Our center is open from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. each weekday, offering a comprehensive educational approach that helps children develop in all areas. We utilize the High/Scope educational approach, emphasizing active participatory learning where children's interests and choices are at the heart of our programs.

Our classrooms follow a predictable Daily Routine, including Plan-Do-Review Time, Small-Group Time, Large-Group Time, Outside Time, and Mealtime. We also have a structured process for conflict resolution to help children learn how to work out disagreements together.

At the Hannibal Children's Center, we have a Health and Safety Coordinator who provides support for the children attending the center. With almost 40 years of research showing the benefits of High/Scope programs, we are dedicated to advancing the development of children and improving their chances of living a better life through adulthood.
