Action Behavior Centers - ABA Therapy for Autism

"Visited this location yesterday to tour the facility, and get more information about the benefits of ABA, this center, protocols, therapists, etc. The sole conversation was with the receptionist answering the questions; which was fine. Mid conversation she asked for our insurance cards, which was weird because this was our initial conversation learning about this center, what was our insurance cards required for...to get information about the center? Towards the end of the conversation when we were expected to take the tour, she stated she had to ask someone could they complete the tour that day or if we needed to come back---she stated they couldn't do the tour that day and would schedule for next week on the 6th of February (Tuesday). We were there January 31st (Wednesday). Although this seemed strange, we agreed on the date, until I received an email later in the evening stating PRIOR to the tour we would need to send them my child's diagnosis, shot records, in-depth insurance information, etc. There was at least 7 items requested from us, that holds a lot of personal information you don't just share with anyone. Again, this information is needed for us to TOUR the facility. I was very clear with the receptionist that we were looking into several ABC's alongside other ABA centers around the DFW area, so I was NOT signing my child up for this center; and was solely seeking information and wanting to tour the facility. I was able to tour (2) other Action Behavior Centers that same day and did NOT have to give them the requested documents that this facility asked for. I have visited (4) ABA centers total, and not one of them asked for any insurance cards to be put on file, diagnosis, etc. in order to tour their facility. This was an extremely unusual experience and request for me; and I highly advise anyone who is looking into THIS LOCATION to be very careful with the information you share with them. I will be calling my insurance company today to let them know that they have our information so that a claim, or anything is not put in place or filed fraudulently. (And before this center responds and fibs---- 1. There was no way to set up a tour online beforehand, hince that's why we went into the facility, nor is it an option for it on your website. 2. This isn't a policy of ABC because other ABC centers welcomed us with open arms and a smile.)"

"We are obsessed with ABC!! It’s changed my sons life! I was overwhelmed when we received his diagnosis. ABC was there for us 110% during our new adjustments in life. I cannot say enough how happy I am daily when I drop off him off at school and he runs in with a smile. All parents know the feeling of leaving a crying child at school. It’s awful. It took my son only a week or so to get used to his new school because they make it so fun for the kids. I LOVE ABC!!"

Initially, I was pretty hesitant to try ABA therapy. In fact, I engaged twice before at other locations. The unsettling feeling that I had after meeting with their director and touring their facilities, I knew I couldn’t leave my son, the most precious part of me, with them. But with ABC, the entire experience has been positive, from the moment we walk in the door each morning. I appreciate the professional atmosphere and clear communication from everyone I interact with. The parent-guidance counseling has been incredible for me. It has helped me learn how to better parent my son and helps me see his unique challenges in a way that I didn’t understand before.
