"When we were referred to Tracie Owens at the Center for Neuroperformance and Counseling, we approached hopefully, yet with an ounce of skepticism as we had been through many years of working with therapists with limited positive results. Our son immediately formed a connection, and learned that Tracie Owens and her crew actually care for their clients. More importantly, they have the training to lead clients to make wise decisions. They don’t pander to our son when he has a problem, but deal head on, and steer him to the right solution. Our son has several neurological challenges, and CNC is successfully breaking through. People over profit is the method under which CNC operates. They have worked with us so our son could have treatment to deal with several serious life challenges., When he abused over-the-counter meds CNC refused to work with him until he started seeing a licensed drug counselor before he got into deep trouble. Less professional therapists would have limped along, collecting payments each week. Tracie puts welfare ahead of everything: The patient matters. As does the entire family. Patients, not profit, is the goal. More times than I can count, staff responded with help outside of office hours. Their lifesaving help is more than 9-to-5 work. Therapy and biofeedback make a huge positive difference. The greatest example I can think of was that our son met our new contact at Texas Workforce Commission in early February. We saw her again in April, and she expressed amazement at our son’s improvement. He was more relaxed, positive, and ready to face what life has to offer. Surprisingly, since he has resisted all treatment over the years, he immediately credited biofeedback and therapy from CNC. He realizes for the first time in his life he is learning to cope. That is major."
"I worked at the Center for Neuroperformance and Counseling for my Practicum site during my second to last semester in graduate school. I am so thankful for Mrs. Tracie Owens for allowing me to experience her wonderful services she provides as a clinician who can perform biofeedback and counseling services. I was able to watch as she embraced young people who struggled with ADHD, Autism spectrum disorder and Anxiety and help them develop coping skills and receive positive results from biofeedback. It was truly an honor to have this experience and be able to grow as a counselor as a result of this wonderful knowledge that Mrs. Tracie taught me."
"It's obvious that the person giving this nonprofit bad reviews under false identities unfortunately has some growing up to do. I wish them nothing but the best. As far as this place goes however, you couldn't ask for a better place to go and get treatment especially in the neurofeedback spectrum. Tracie and her staff are some of the most caring people in that area and you really couldn't ask for a better place to get information and to legitimately feel like somebody's listening to you. I know because I did my practicum hours from the University of North Texas there as a intern specializing in chemical dependency. it's because of her and her guidance I was able to get my first job out of college as a qualified mental health professional in crisis services which I still take Continuing Education Units for. I have since moved on to different fields and lines of work helping those who suffer from substance use disorders but this place is better than most. Thank you Tracie. Kelby, Mendez. "At first I was pretty skeptical of coming here, especially when I wasn't getting the results as fast as I wanted. Everyone who works here is really nice. They kept telling me if I didn't stop I would notice the changes and they were right. I was having trouble focusing on basic tasks, often getting distracted. My mind would race from thought to thought, which made sleeping difficult. Since starting my sessions here I've had issues much less frequently. The results will vary from person to person but overall I highly suggest checking them out."
"My son has been receiving neurofeedback at CNC for the last several months. Tracie and her staff have been great to work with--explaining what they are doing and why. I've learned a lot about the process. They have also been very flexible with scheduling and are reasonably priced compared to other providers."
