"I booked with Pedro 6 weeks in advance after doing heavy research on Chicago tattoo artists. I was looking forward to getting these tattoos for months and took years to confirm that I wanted the tattoos I was getting as they all have sentimental meaning. When I arrived, Pedro was in the back and was 10min late to our appointment time which is fine but he only allotted 1hr for 3 small tattoos. He mocked up the proof designs and I had a couple tweaks which he did not seem to appreciate. We finalized the designs and transferred them to my body. 2 were perfect but I wanted to move the 3rd. He did not like this and told me he has been doing this for several years and the point of tattoos are not to be trendy and to take selfies for Instagram. That was a brash comment considering I am not on social media and was stereotyped in that light. He told me he was ending the appointment and he sent my deposit back. On my only day off work I took 3hrs out of my day to drive out and waste time. I ended up going elsewhere but felt Pedro was cold, rude, dismissive and impatient. Putting permanent tattoos on your body is a big deal and should be treated as so."
