XO Physical Therapy McAllen

"basically robbing people in broad daylight. Most places do an evaluation and physical therapy the same day or recommend trying something to see where you are at because they only accept patients through referral and everyday you go is a day less that you have (doctors will tell them/recommend x amount of days or weeks) however they happily took my money and spoke to me for less than 10 minutes. Without doing anything else.. didn’t send me home with any instructions to try at home, no first day nothing. Don’t let the door hit you on your way out basically. I guess I shouldn’t be surprised as everyone knows anything associated with DHR (atleast I’m assuming they are) is awful but never like this. I drove from Edinburg. What I experienced could’ve been handled over the phone for free. I really hope that this isnt a normal occurrence and that I’m the first and last to experience this because the people that I saw in that office definitely deserve better care if that’s the case.. I know losing me as a patient isn’t that big of a deal however to seem almost desensitized when I tell you my experience was awful with no solution is very frustrating. Hope things improve."

"Had a pretty negative experience there. First off I was given incorrect information about my injury from the start from the male PT who assessed me. What they had me doing apparently made things worse (not my only issue, I understand diagnosing can sometimes be tricky). The PT assistants who were helping me didn't even pretend to take an interest. They were helping usually 4-5 people at once, didn't know my injury, my name or why I was there. They would pop in to tell me to switch exercises while looking as disinterested as possible. I had another male PT(same one who diagnosed me on intake) who would come over from time to time and give me ridiculous mis-information about my apparent injury and recovery time(the last day I was there walked over and casually told me I cant exercise for One year), which again I found out later was way incorrect. I had a female PT assigned to me and she was fine and seemed to take an actual interest. However because they were servicing so many people at once she would typically only have time to come over for about 5 minutes. I am Canadian and was private paying what equated to 100.00 per hour for this, which I don't mind doing if the service was even the least bit helpful. It was not. In my opinion I would look for a facility that seems to take more of an interest in their patients and pays closer attention to the staff they have and how they interact with clients, and avoid this place."

"I am so thankful to all of the staff at XO PT in McAllen. This team is truly amazing and was such a huge part of my healing process. I was in so much pain and because of it I was really struggling to walk, sit or move in general. They were all so patient and willing to help in any way that they could. After four months of both Aquatics and on land therapy my pain level reduced from a 10 to a 1 or on some days no pain at all. This team is very knowledgeable in what they do and so kind and helpful. I highly recommend if you are seeking any kind of therapy for an injury. Jerry was so helpful and I truly appreciate that he took his time in explaining in detail what was needed and why. "I have been going to XO Physical Therapy 3 days a week for the past month and a half. Before this I have never done Physical Therapy before. My Physical Therapist is Jerry Salinas, he is excellent. My sessions always start on time and the exercises we do really works. Not only does he have me do exercises but he takes his time to explains to me what they do to help my recovery process and he makes sure I understand. I have learned so much during my time at XO I know have much more knowledge on the prevention of injuries. I highly recommend XO to anyone thinking about going to Physical Therapy, and ask for Jerry Salinas!"
