"Er is like 3rd world country, 4 to 5 hr wait times .ridiculous"
"Purgatory simulator. This is my second or third time here, every time I come back the place has triple in size, now featuring even more parking and a bridge thing. However wait times are always extreme, going on about 2 hours to see Dr after having heart pain post surgery. Outside is like a multi trillion dollar wonder land, complete with wind sock, but this waiting room is dingy, with Walmart pharmacy vibes. Luckily the nurse told us to switch sides, it’s much better on this side of the room. Doesn’t make any sense lol. I’m beginning a personal search for water, hoping for drinking fountain, but expecting a 3$ per bottle vending machine. Ok so no drinking fountain, vending machines are “all the way at the end of the hall, in a conference room” $2 for a Dasani bottle, which I am utilizing as a ice pack. Got here at 12:20, it is 2am, wait time is still 1 hour and 30 minutes to go, also with indication on how many people are ahead of me. Just counted it was 175 steps to get from the waiting room to the bathroom, with chest pains, post surgery. I did locate drinking fountains, they are at the 168 step mark. Update 2:40am. Staff and 3 security guards are having a grand time, the more I look around the more trash I see, there’s a pile of trash under my chair, and someone’s used medical equipment in the chair next to my mom. Heavily debating leaving and taking my chances, again. 2:57 and we made it folks, now to get a 5 minute diagnostic and leave. Sign on the wall appears to indicate last person on room had COVID. Nurse just confirmed that last person did have COVID, but nobody erases these boards, so it’s anyone’s guess as to when they were here. Nurse said not to worry because they sanitize everything, however this room looks like the wating room. Pics are the way to restoom, and floor in operating room. Current time is 10am. Did obtain padded and reclining chair for my mom after asking 3 different nurses, and have recived 3 different answers as to how long I must stay, going from overnight and into next day, from ready to go now, that was at 8am. Oh lastly some nurse just came into my room, and threw a bunch of in the blue garbage bin, and some on the floor and then left. I said “what the hell?!” Just had a 4th doc come in and ask what the last 3 docs told me, to get on the same page. 13 hours later, I walk out as I walked in"
"The doctors and nurses at the pediatric ER were so kind, patient, and explained everything well. The wait time on a Saturday was shorter than the normal ER, we were in and out in 25 minutes total. But some patients have extremely serious emergencies/medical conditions that take longer (we’re often one of them) so people should try to be more understanding of that, it’s a hospital. We’ve spent a lot of time at CDH, and the doctors and nurses are exceptional."
"Took our baby here last week and this was our first and last time going here. Registration person didn’t know what she was doing and that’s fine maybe she was new. We arrived around 10 pm and left the hospital around 3 and during 5 hours all they did was collect a sample from our baby’s nose and waited about 4 hrs and 20 minutes for a doctor to say she has rsv and said there is nothing we can do just take over the counter medicines. I complained the wait time to someone there and she had all the excuses in the world. She’s like after covid things have changed, we have more serious patients than your daughter, etc. guess what ER visit’s almost in every hospital is horrible and wait times are ridiculous yet they haven’t figured out the solution and that’s why they have 4/5 excuses and all b.s."
"I love CDH/ NW. However, The Psycho Family that is desperately hanging onto me Is trying to take you ALL down the tubes of The Toilet Bowl."
